Dave is a young man who is searching for something missing in his life. From a small town in Michigan, with parents who couldn't care less about him, he embarks upon the adventure of a typical american college town with a joyless heart and only his passion for photography to motivate him. Dave quickly finds himself in another living situation with a soundly lukewarm reception, virtually the same world he had left. With the help of his roommate, Jake, who finds himself on the other end of the spectrum, a hedonist who has grown weary of his own empty existence, Dave is introduced to a new world. A World which he would have discounted entirely if it weren't for a chance meeting with a young woman, Kayla, while coming to terms with his new surroundings the only way he knows, photography. Kayla, on the run from her own demons, shows Dave that life can be more than a series of lifeless images to hide behind, and together the two learn a lesson about the true value of love and what matters most in life.
