A video game villain wants to be a hero and sets out to fulfill his dream, but his quest brings havoc to the whole arcade where he lives.
Disneyland guests used to be able to play the "Fix-It Felix, Jr." arcade game at the Starcade in Tomorrowland near the exit of the Space Mountain, but the arcade has since been removed.

When Wreck-It Ralph realizes he is in the Sugar Rush game he says, "This is the candy go-cart game over by the Wak-A-Mole." However, at the beginning of the movie, as the camera rolls away from the Fix-It Felix Jr. cabinet, the game next to Sugar Rush says Wak-A-Troll.
After the credits finish rolling there is a final shot where the Disney title card has an arcade "Kill Screen" with 8-bit versions of Ralph, Calhoun, and others walking around broken game stages.
In the Japanese version, the character Minty Zaki (the green racer in Sugar Rush) is replaced with a more Japanese-styled character called Minty Sakura.
