Infinity Blade was first announced onstage at the 2010 Apple Fall press conference. Code-named Project Sword, Steve Jobs personally picked the game as the first iOS title announced to use Apple's new Game Center service. It ushered in a new era of console-quality mobile video games.
The language spoken by the Deathless and their minions is called Pangean.
The entire initial game release was created in just 4 1/2 months by only 11 developers. To save time, the team at Chair based the game on an earlier design originally intended as a Kinect title. Infinity Blade was the first iOS game created using Unreal Engine - it was originally intended to demonstrate the power of Unreal on mobile devices, but proved so popular the team went on to create 2 sequels and a number of additional content updates for each game.
