The special edition of Heavy Rain (2010), released in Europe and Australia, contained a PlayStation Network voucher for a free download of the game.
Originally developed as an early tech-demo to showcase Heavy Rain (2010)'s gameplay and graphical capabilities (most noticeably because a different actress was cast to voice Madison Paige, at the time). The game was later released as downloadable content, online, over PlayStation Network as part of the "Heavy Rain Chronicles" series. Unfortunately, this became the only one to be released. Others would have detailed the events in other characters' lives such as the death of Norman Jayden's partner and other parts of Scott Shelby's life. This was due to the development of the PlayStation Move controller, and Sony wanting Quantic Dreams to make the game compatible with it. This took up time and money that would have gone toward other chronicles.
Exclusive to Sony Computer Entertainment's PlayStation 3 (PS3).
