Lost and Found

This early title in New Sensations' dalliance with Couple Romance features is well-acted but such lightweight material as to defy criticism. It's merely mediocre, serving its purpose in that once-vaunted (but now nearly defunct under a torrent of gonzo competition) porn genre that fed Pay-Cable with suitably bowdlerized softcore versions - in this case retitled clumsily as "Sex Pets".

The pet in question is a cute doggy named Boz, who I foolishly thought would be the Black actor with a big dick after watching the credits. He is the catalyst for the action: when cute Allie Haze accidentally leaves her front door open and he runs off the porn comedy ensues.

Neighbor Xander Corvus is unfortunately living with a pair of slackers, Chad Alva and Kim Kane, who spend all their waking hours on the couch playing video games. Chad somehow convinces Corvus to hide the doggy when he finds him outside rather than returning him to neighbor Allie, in a vain effort to win her over romantically when he pretends to selflessly search for her missing pet.

That's the entire script development from one Mona Sunoy, who is among the extras in a bar scene that somehow merited screen credits for their non-roles. Of course the principals eventually fall in love, but getting there is tedious.

Opening scene completely wastes Zoe Voss in a nothing role as a callous one-night stand for Xander; she's the most talented cast member but director/cameraman Eddie Powell hasn't a clue about such things. Lexi Belle and Tony DeSergio (with oddly buzz cut hairdo) add little as the comic relief friends of Allie's character.
