Being only eight minutes long including titles this is just a fun little incident rather than a proper story. While helping The Doctor carry out repairs to the Tardis Rory tells him how Amy passed her driving test despite being a useless driver... she distracted the instructor with her usual short skirt; just as he finishes telling the story Rory is distracted by the same skirt and drops a component which causes the Tardis to materialise inside itself. He can't really be blamed for this as he is underneath the glass floor on which Amy is standing. The Doctor enters the 'new Tardis' and promptly re-joins the Amy and Rory as he enters through Tardis's outer door. He explains that this loop means that they will be forever trapped in the Tardis! Shortly after Amy enters meaning that there are two of her; the new one from slightly in the future and she explains what they must do next.

This short was quite funny as one would expect from part of Comic Relief; it was fun seeing Amy flirting with herself and Rory clearly had an idea what to do when The Doctor asked what they would do with two Amy Ponds! Karen Gillan took the lead role in this short story and continues to impress me in the role although like Rory I might be slightly distracted by her skirt... I do hope she ignores The Doctor's final words of the episode where he told her to 'put some trousers on'! After a few guest appearances it looks as if Rory is going to become a permanent addition to the show; it will be interesting to see how his character develops in full length stories and whether it will change the dynamic between Amy and The Doctor.

    Warning: Spoilers
This brilliant Comic Relief two-part short plays out just as you'd expect from a Doctor Who comedy with all the so-called Timey-Wimey we've come to love in the Moffat era but done in a manner accessible to the large casual viewership it had, yet not dumbed down. It sees Rory get distracted by his wife Amy's skirt so that he breaks the TARDIS and makes it land inside itself. Now whenever someone steps inside it they end up back inside the iconic time machine but a few seconds earlier than when they stepped through the door. Part one ends with two Amy Ponds at once and to begin part two she flirts with herself which is absolutely hilarious (she does it again later when there's also two Rory Williamses). Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill are excellent together, an early sign of the then-in-the-future brilliance of series six. They don't really have any choice in the matter, they have to be great in this because only they are in it, there are no extras or guest cast for this one.

Though the resolution of the story is somewhat "hand wavy" it's still the source of one of the most quotable lines in Doctor Who history (The Wibbly Lever!) and Matt Smith delivers the line with perfection. This two-part-episode is not one to take too seriously but is still a must-see for fans, acting as a great way to introduce newbies to the show with its less complicated but still extremely entertaining plot. How the Moff produced something this good with only three actors is beyond even the best of other writers but he makes it look easy. In short this is one of the best shorts you'll ever see, just don't think too much about it and enjoy the show! 9/10
  • Warning: Spoilers
    • The Doctor: The TARDIS has materialized inside itself!

    • Rory: Is that supposed to happen?

    • The Doctor: Take a guess.

    • Rory: Eh....no?

    • The Doctor: That's the one!

Steven Moffat appears to have a knack for writing these mini-episodes: his 2007 "Time Crash" was absolutely terrific, and so is this one, which I saw on DVD as two mini-mini-episodes; "Space" is arguably the most ingenious idea in the history of the modern "Doctor Who"; "Time" is rather incomprehensible, but I think that's part of the joke; both of them have some very funny dialogue. So much is packed into just 7 minutes that you can watch this one again and again and again and again....*** out of 4.

This little comic relief episode was for the first few minutes good but not yet great, but then they introduce the paradox and then that is when it gets really good.

I love all these supplementary Doctor Who episodes, so many to find and attempt to watch in release order. Smith is truly a perfect Doctor and Amy and Rory are perfect companions in every way.

I have to say I decided watching this 6-minute special as it may get me in the mood and interested in the actual Doctor Who series, but nope. I found it a disappointment. It tries to be smart with the paradox reference, but it gets old really quickly. Apart from that, the lead actress in here is really really bad and I did not believe one second she plays a super-smart scientists as she is acting like an annoying brat from start to finish. And what a joke that she is actually having a promising career right now looking at "Guardians of the Galaxy". She totally sucked in here. The third actor adds nothing at all really and the guy who played Doctor Who was not too impressive either. The film's director is fairly unknown, but writer Steven Moffat came up with "Sherlock" among other things, another vastly overrated British television series. I will not call "Doctor Who" that only judging from this very short movie, but this description certainly applies to this film here. 8.3??? Are you kidding me. A complete joke and this is a fairly forgettable work.
