I'm a big fan of Nica Noelle's storyline films, yet this strictly sex effort is satisfying in its own way. By strict standards the rack jobber would classify it in the Gonzo bin (which I have seen applied to Nica's videos by certain video suppliers on line), but excellent casting got this smooch-centric series off to a good start.
Reiterating my soapbox quibble, instead of a connected storyline Nica presents four separate vignettes, even featuring her cash cow (no pun intended for sure) Elexis Monroe as different characters in two of the 4 requisite sex segments. The set-up stories for the girls are minimal and unconvincing, and in that sense not appreciably different from the gonzo introductions of your typical Jules Jordan, Lexington Steele or Mandingo video.
But once the action starts, the realistic, sensual trademark sex is delivered and well-executed by the hand-picked cast. Covergirl models for the show Samantha Ryan and Mia Presley are a well-matched pair, and although their age and height differences are minimal they play together with effective contrast. I had already seen Presley on TV in a couple of soft-core assignments and she is a refreshing "new face" among veterans. This segment is rather awkwardly acted (until the osculation, fingering and tribbing begin), as Mia plays the fiancée of Ryan's son (unseen -no extras in this show), who when they finally meet is shockingly a girl with whom Sam had an affair while in college. This could have made for a dramatic vignette within an overall story film (perhaps one of those MY SON'S GIRLFRIEND type hetero videos), but here is merely dead air until the two women suddenly smooch and the flood gates of yearning open.
Best segment is the opener starring Elexis Monroe opposite petite Annabelle Lee. Lee should get a role in a mainstream horror/suspense movie given her Poe-inspired stage name, and I like her as a reminder of what Jennifer Jason Leigh brought to the screen in her early adult roles (see: EYES OF A STRANGER). Set-up has Monroe caught in the act reading Lee's diary, but the potential conflict leads only to sex. Their work epitomizes the slow, brick by brick building of a sex scene which is part and parcel of Noelle's influential "real sex, real orgasms" approach.
Elexis returns opposite secret weapon Mz. Berlin in the finale, disappointing because Berlin's talents (if not her body) are kept under wraps. The big-bust bombshell is not the dominatrix for a change, and seems to be paying deference to her superstar companion. Sex is hot, but gone is B's barking orders and handing out verbal insults routine. Issue is Berlin demanding an apology from Elexis for flirting with a girl at a party, and I, for one, was disappointed later on when Berlin meekly whispers "I'm sorry" herself. I thought the '40s styled lady had a bigger pair (cross-gender pun intended).
Similarly, there is a role reversal of slight Trinity Post generally dominating fan favorite Sinn Sage. Post is the third fake redhead (Berlin and Lee also qualifying) in the video whose red dye job doesn't match any Pantene shade found in nature. This segment set in a halfway house (read: usual Nica bedroom) has convicted car thief Trinity bossing around newbie fresh out of stir Sinn and doing a lot of choking -not exactly in line with the video's title but fodder for the fans nonetheless.
