Nica Noelle stubbed her toe in this second volume of the "Beauties" series, a desultory, poorly cast bit of filler that fails to maintain the high standards she set back in the day at her lesbian label Sweetheart Video. It's too close to the generic lesbian porn you get from slapdash Lipstick Dolls or Sunshine compilations for comfort.
Though the published shooting dates, covering 4 days in January 2008 indicate it's new material, the 4-segmented feature plays like leftover unissued segments scavenged from the vaults. One is about a babysitter, which I thought might have been purloined from a "Lesbian Babysitter" series shoot, and the lame casting is beneath contempt.
Worst case in point comes from a meeting of Velvet Lickz and Angelica Sinz, whose dumb stage names hide a couple of no-talent schlubs (their failed careers during the seven years since this was made bear this out in hindsight). Their segment has domineering Lickz getting upset when Sinz leaves a mess in their kitchen, the usual "roommates not getting along" scenario. She forces the girl, who physically looks like a summer-stock version of lesbian star Satine Phoenix, to literally lick the floor, in a rather typical dom/sub vignette. Neither actress is appealing, their acting is poor, and the sex is boring, a total washout.
Similarly, the wonderful star Randi James, who has given many superlative performances in both girl/girl and boy/girl features for director Noelle, is saddled with big-nosed, inexpressive young Alana Leigh in her segment. The storyline here posits this as the first lesbian experience for Randi's character, and that proves to be very hard to swallow, even for an actress of James's talent to put over.
Opening vignette is probably the best, as reliable star Michelle Lay plays a wealthy customer in Nica Noelle's brothel (the director appearing in a cameo as a rather unsympathetic & venal madam), getting to pop young Aubrey Addams' cherry for a price. The talent of these two popular troupers overcomes a rather silly premise.
Remaining vignette showcases Annabelle Lee with fiery red hair, paired with busty Asian beauty Kitty Langdon in some mixed-combo action. Lee is cast as the babysitter, and Kitty is frankly tongue-tied in trying to improvise the situation of firing the young girl for dressing too revealingly and being too flirty when her husband's around, only to be surprised with the news that Lee is a lesbian who wants to go to bed with her.
Kitty only settles down when Lee's intensive seduction works, and suddenly she does a 180 and is a professional Sapphic wonder in bed with the girl. This finale is phony as a 3-dollar bill. Kitty is clearly a gonzo-only performer not ready for prime time dialog, and though it is nice to see Nica giving actresses a chance to escape the racist porn ghetto of assignments in videos titled "Me Luv U Long Time 11" and "Dark Meat: Asian Treat 2", I'm afraid Kitty didn't cut the mustard here.
