      In September 2016, midway through the show's seventh series, it was announced that this series would be the last to air on the BBC. Apparently, a rival broadcaster, Channel 4, had "poached" the series. The day after the announcement, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins both announced that they were not in agreement with the move to Channel 4 and would be stepping down as the presenters.

    A show to decompress
    Unlike typical American shows where the chefs are at each other's throats, screaming, fighting, competing in stupid challenges, this is just calm and relaxing. They all respect each other, the hosts actually know what they are talking about (Masterclass), and it's a simple concept. Three challenges and a clock, that's it.

    FAQ3

    • What's up with the clothing? How come all the contestants, hosts & judges wear the same clothes throughout every episode when their 'good morning' greetings for the technical & show stopper challenges seem to occur on different days from the initial challenge? Is it just to fool the TV audience into thinking that all 3 challenges occurred during a single day?
