'Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles' Season 16? Bravo Series Put On Pause After 15 Seasons
Image
Fans waiting for a new season of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles are going to have to wait much longer!

The Bravo real estate unscripted series has reportedly been placed on “pause” after 15 seasons on the network, according to TMZ.

Keep reading to find out more…

Sources have reportedly revealed that the show isn’t officially canceled, but the current iteration of the series is done. This comes after spinoff Million Dollar Listing New York was put on pause in 2022 after nine seasons.

Mdlla being put on pause is not much of a surprise after longtime stars Josh and Heather Altman announced in October 2024 that they were leaving the show.

Throughout the years, the show also starred Josh Flagg, Tracy Tutor, James Harris, David Parnes, Madison Hildebrand and Frederik Eklund.

While the show is on pause, it still could return, much like The Real Housewives of Miami did!

Demand for South Florida Real Estate Fuels Soaring Prices and Gleaming Towers as Tech, Music and Hollywood Hit the Region
Image
The sky appears to be the limit for South Florida luxury residential real estate. Billions of dollars in luxury condominium towers are in the pre-sales, planning and construction pipeline. March 2024 saw a record condo price for the state when a penthouse at Miami Beach’s Shore Club Private Collection went under contract for $120 million.

Entertainment, sports and finance figures like Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos and Sylvester Stallone have made the move to the tonier cities in South Florida.

For those seeking prime locations overlooking Biscayne Bay or on the beach with Atlantic Ocean or intercoastal views, location and architecture are major differentiators as are a project’s menu of desired amenities. Partnerships with brands and brand names distinguish these residential towers.

A sampling of names attached to these towers range from Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, with the 48-story Jean-Georges Miami Tropic Residences, to Carbone’s Major Food Group, the restaurant...

There's a new real estate show on the market! Selling the City hits Netflix in January 2025
Image
A new real estate reality series will be moving into Netflix right at the top of 2025. The streaming service announced on Dec. 4 that the latest Selling Sunset spinoff, titled Selling the City, makes its premiere on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025. If you have been waiting for more broker drama on your screens, Netflix will be delivering the goods right at the top of the new year.

Like the other two Selling Sunset spinoffs in the franchise, the defunct Selling Tampa and the not-yet-renewed Selling the Oc, the new edition takes place in a new locale in the United States. This time around, the Selling saga is heading up north on the East Coast to New York City, where the Douglas Elliman real estate agents compete over the city's various luxury listings.

Take a closer look at the new show's synopsis via Netflix's press release:

From ‘Owning Manhattan’ to ‘Buying Beverly Hills,’ Real Estate Shows Boost Business for Agents as Series Thrive on Glam Factor
Image
Unscripted real estate television series traditionally welcome viewers into seemingly unblemished homes. There’s no peeling paint, mismatched furniture or structural issues. Instead, residences get a glow up — as does the buying and selling process. Much like “The Bachelor” franchise’s heavily produced search for love staged for maximum drama, reality real estate shows feature gloss (Celebratory champagne open houses and closings! Designer interiors! Stunning architecture! Fashion-plate agents!) minus airtime for the unsexy, less visually appealing nuts-and-bolts of negotiations and financing.

Is the view unrealistic? Ryan Serhant, of Manhattan-based brokerage Serhant and Netflix’s “Owning Manhattan,” exec-produced by World of Wonder’s Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey, doesn’t think so. He says his show is “the most authentic and real portrayal of the real estate brokerage business that has ever been on television.”

He pitched Netflix and the production company to follow him and several camera-ready Serhant agents for...

Image
A Selling Sunset spinoff series is coming, but there will be a major change that will alter everything about the series. That is because the new spinoff series is leaving California. Where Is New Selling Sunset Spinoff Located?

What Happened To Ryan Serhant After Million Dollar Listing New York?
Image
Ryan Serhant has a new Netflix series in production following the end of Million Dollar Listing New York. He released a book called Brand It Like Serhant. Ryan was very successful as a real estate agent in New York City when he was on Million Dollar Listing New York.

Million Dollar Listing New Yorks Ryan Serhant is a real estate agent who once appeared on the series, meaning many are curious about what hes been up to since his time on the show ended. Eklund Gomes Reveals $3.77B in Real Estate Sales in 2023 (Exclusive)
Image
In what may be the biggest numbers racked up by any real estate team in the United States in 2023 — a challenging year for residential sales across the country — the Eklund Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman tells The Hollywood Reporter exclusively that it closed $3.77 billion in deals last year.

The team, co-founded by Fredrik Eklund (former star of Bravo’s reality series Million Dollar Listing) and John Gomes, counts around 80 agents on its roster who work in celebrity-heavy markets in four states: New York, Florida, California and Texas.

Contributing to that $3.77 billion number is the fact that around 25 of Eklund Gomes Team’s agents made more than $1 million in commissions last year and “13 of our agents had better years in 2023 than they did in 2022,” says Eklund Gomes Team CEO Julia Spillman. Adds Eklund, “We’re proud.”

The team also excelled, true to form, in its sales of new development, including at...

All the Times ‘And Just Like That’ References Bravo, From Bethenny Frankel to Padma Lakshmi
Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, and Sara Ramirez in And Just Like That... (2021)
Another episode of “And Just Like That,” another Bravo reference!

After name dropping Bravo talent twice earlier this season, Seema (Sarita Choudhury) literally said “Bravo TV” in the sixth episode of Season 2, titled “Bomb Cyclone.”

Seema and her new Bff Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) were shopping in an Apple store when Seema invited Carrie to share a house in the Hamptons.

“‘I have never asked another single woman to share another summer house,” Seema said. “It’s just too tragic. Too Bravo TV.”

“Are you proposing we go to the Hamptons together?” Carrie asks.

“I can’t spend another weekend sharing a room with a married friend’s kid’s surfboard. But you and me, with our own two bed-three bath on the beach. Fun, fabulous, not tragic at all.”

“Summer House,” of course, is the title of Bravo’s long-running unscripted series where a group of young Manhattan friends...

Mark Consuelos Talks Replacing Ryan Seacrest as Co-Host of ‘Live’ With Kelly Ripa, Marriage Counseling and Virtual Sex

Welcome to this week’s “Just for Variety.”

Mark Consuelos doesn’t mind hand-me-downs from Ryan Seacrest. Consuelos tells me he’s inheriting Seacrest’s dressing room when “Live With Kelly and Ryan” becomes “Live With Kelly and Mark” on April 17. “I’m no dummy,” Consuelos says on this week’s episode of the “Just for Variety” podcast. “Ryan is very fancy — he’s got fancy stuff.”

At the same time it was announced in February that Seacrest was leaving “Live,” it was revealed that Consuelos will replace him as his wife Kelly Ripa’s co-host on the syndicated daytime talk show. “The first conversations started with like, ‘That is the worst idea ever,’”

Consuelos recalls. “Kelly and I were like, ‘Yeah, that’s insane. Why would we do that?’ Then I was like, ‘Well, I have filled in a lot over the past few years.’ She goes, ‘You have.

Million Dollar Listing New York (2012)
‘Million Dollar Listing’ Broker Kirsten Jordan on the 1 NYC Real Estate Pandemic Trend That’s Here to Stay
Million Dollar Listing New York (2012)
And no, it’s not fleeing to the suburbs (that’d be bad for her business)

“Million Dollar Listing New York” finally cast a female broker — just in time for the city that never sleeps to become the epicenter for Covid-19. Everything changed in Kirsten Jordan’s profession at pretty much the same time she added “reality TV star” to her resume. We all hope the latest deadly coronavirus is on the outs, but are any of its business lessons here to stay?

The biggest trends Jordan has observed — other than the flight to the suburbs, we imagine — are “the sight-unseen purchase” and the “virtual showing,” she told TheWrap.

Pressure’s on with those online house tours, Kirsten — especially when, by the very title of your show, we’re dealing with big-money properties.

Jordan, who said she foresees those trends outlasting Covid, was texting with a buyer about a sight-unseen deal during our interview.

‘Million Dollar Listing New York’ Gets Season 9 Premiere Date – and Its First Female Broker (Exclusive)
Million Dollar Listing New York (2012)
Break up the boys club. When “Million Dollar Listing New York” returns to Bravo on May 6 for Season 9, the show’s first female broker, Kirsten Jordan, will join the series, TheWrap has learned. Jordan’s debut episode will have a supersized runtime of 75 minutes.

We can also unveil the Season 9 trailer — watch that via the video above.

As you’ll see in the trailer, the New York City mass exodus is in full swing due to the coronavirus pandemic. And for some reason, there’s a llama in a luxury apartment. (Or is it an alpaca? We can never keep those two straight.)

Plus, Ryan Serhant and Fredrik Eklund are fighting like llamas and alpacas. (We’re sure some of them fight — they can’t all be friends.)

But back to the new star of the pretty old (at this point) show. Kirsten Jordan is a top-selling agent at her...

Luxury Real Estate Series Sell Escapism and Fantasy to Pandemic Audience
Image
Real estate shows play to many aspects of what an audience wants: fantasy, escapism, relatability, drama and personalities that can get welcomed into a viewer’s home on a regular basis. Such shows as Netflix’s “Selling Sunset,” “Million Dollar Beach House” and the ur-series of this nonfiction subgenre, “Million Dollar Listing L.A.” and “Million Dollar Listing New York,” slake a thirst for all those needs, and more.

“It is escapist, because of the quality of the homes that you’re seeing, all the high-end real estate,” ” says Shari Levine, exec VP, production, Bravo. “These are places that most people can’t afford and aren’t going to be buying. But it’s an opportunity to walk through and sort of see what that looks like. And it’s fantasy material. And you get to say, ‘What if I lived there, and I would do this in this room,...

At Bravo, Not Even Coronavirus Can Stop the ‘Real Housewives’
Image
Fans of Bravo shows are ardent and demanding, and when the coronavirus production shutdown happened in mid-March, they panicked — this is their NFL and NBA. Luckily, heading into quarantine, the network had a stocked cupboard that included seasons of some of its buzziest shows. That roster included several full seasons of “Real Housewives”; “Top Chef: All Stars;” “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles”; and one of the most popular shows on cable, “Below Deck Mediterranean.” A brand-new installment of “Real Housewives,” set in Salt Lake City — the franchise’s first expansion since 2016 — will premiere this fall.

When the stay-at-home orders happened in late March, Bravo quickly figured out how to edit and do post-production remotely — and even to shoot programs such as Andy Cohen’s nightly talk show, “Watch What Happens Live,” from his home, as well as filming explosive reunion episodes over Zoom for “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” “Shahs of Sunset” and “Vanderpump Rules.

Comcast and NBCUniversal are pushing Peacock out of the nest starting Wednesday, April 15, promising to unfurl a rich plume of 15,000-plus hours of streaming content, first for the cable giant’s own TV and internet customers.

With the national launch, Comcast (and Cox) subscribers also will have the option to get an ad-free version of the service for an additional $5 per month.
