SICKCITY is a unique event in the history of Nepali cinema. Coming from British Director Murray Kerr, it heralds a dramatic departure from mainstream Nepali cinema in terms of story and realism. SICKCITY is a high octane adrenaline charged thrill ride into the dark side of Kathmandu. 100% shot on location, set between sunset and sunrise, SICKCITY is a realistic and gritty depiction of life on the edge through the eyes of a young hustler called Krishna. The story follows Krishna as he wavers between his ties as a father/husband and his work as a drug dealer in the red light district of Thamel. Krishna depends entirely on his instincts for survival, making him quick to act yet slow to think. It's this flaw which get's him into hot water, and turns one night of his life into a battle for survival. Can he escape his destiny...? Having already picked up the prestigious award for best Nepali film at this years KIMFF and with a release date set for March, SICKCITY looks set to take the Nepali film industry by storm.
