  • Wanted to like this movie. The premise is good, but story is quite flimsy and dreary. Apparently, this is based on the filmmaker's parents. Believed it was even filmed in the same house he grew up in. There are a couple if good throwaway lines in this film, but not much else. Elliot Gould looks sad and haggard. Not sure if he is acting or just because he signed up for this project. The film is only 75 minutes long, but seems longer. Lots of nature shots (used as filler?) Writer & director Richard Ledes also has a cameo as a jogger.Think he should stick with the writing and directing. Felt like I was seeing a rough draft of a story with a possible potential of a much better film. . .

I guess started watching this because I'm in a mood for family. Maybe it's the holidays. I thought the cast was OK. Victoria was a bit out of place. I think her character was lost between a woman who says it like it is or a very insecure and subdued servant. The sister was a little much for me. The brother was OK. I think they could have done a better job weaving together a better story. I'm not sure what they were going for. I only wanted to write this review to tell all of you the ending sucked! It was like they ran out of money and had to call it a wrap. I wouldn't have written this much if IMDb didn't require ten lines. Horrible ending.
