When Jacq shoots Wallace with the flare gun, Wallace's companion leaves with the nuclear battery that spilled from the robot's bag with the contents they were looking through the previous evening. When Jacq talks with the 'clock master' robot, he hands him the battery that Jacq found at the crime scene where Wallace shot the self-repairing robot in the beginning and has been carrying with him ever since.
