When the network of satellites designed to control the global climate starts to attack Earth, it's a race against the clock for its creator to uncover the real threat before a worldwide Geostorm wipes out everything and everyone.
Re-shoots took place in December 2016 under executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer and writer Laeta Kalogridis. Dean Devlin was still in charge of the film, but unavailable, so veteran director Danny Cannon was hired for the job. Katheryn Winnick, who played Jake Lawson's ex-wife, was replaced by Julia Denton.
