Quick fire comedy. Nice bit of nostalgia. Obscure characters mixed with vintage bad guys. I found it funny and a decent viewing experience and am looking forward to more episodes. The cartoon style is very much like Star Trek lowers decks and the quick comedy also reminds me of this. I like the fact it includes lex luthor's minions and mentions the likes of batman and Superman.. I actually didn't know this was coming out and its a nice surprise to carry on the DC's storylines (obscure as they are) funny to see bane with actual lines rather than one word cameos. Let's give it a chance and see where this one goes.
Happy to see any spinoff of Harley Quinn, and I find myself enjoying Kiteman even more so far. Yet I feel like people, myself included haha, need to stop comparing it to Harley Quinn. This is its own entity, clearly. The voice actors are sublime; I particularly love the voice of Bane--god, I hope he gets a spinoff! Also crack up every time the Queen of Fables opens her mouth. . . (Ava from "Abbott Elementary!") Another thing I love about the show are the visuals--the colors and images positively pop off the screen. And there is a strange comfort about a bar like Noonans. . . That 'ol "Cheers" memory perhaps. . .
Although Kite Man: Hell Yeah was an unexpected spin-off to Harley Quinn, seeing Gotham City in a whole new way in this modern, ultra-violent universe is a lot of fun. Kite Man is a moron and Golden Glider is an unexpected gem. DC really has something with this new version of Batman. It's a show thats existence is completely unnecessary but it's humor is just as random and morbid and hilarious as its mother show. I'm looking forward to seeing how this show plays out. The show has so much potential with how much "lore" there is to pull from, without needing to rely on the Bat-family at all. Gotham City is a mad place and the chance to see it used as a playground in a spinoff series is nothing short of a treat.
I like the show it's classic and simple, meeting new age, but done right. Kiteman, Golden glider, bane and Noonansn are funny and the show has refreshing new situations instead of same old regurgitated tv. Just finished episode 6 and can't wait for more! Its use of villains feels like the characters are more comedic. When I found the show I binge watched it while drinking with my friends, it was a good time! Funny I only found the show because I saw a popular clip on youtube of beast mode bullying people at the bar and giving a girl a wedgie!😂Hope it happens again love the show! Like where the show headed and don't think i'll be disappointed. Also I recognize the voice actors they're pretty funny!
Just an update effortlessly funny towards the end. This could be one of the shows I put on often now.

So I just finished watching the first season of Kite Man: Hell Yeah! (2024-) earlier this morning and it was a decent enough spin-off show to Harley Quinn (2019-).
Positives for Kite Man: Hell Yeah! (2024-): For me, it was interesting having the main character being a villain that I have never heard of until now. The dynamic between kite Man and Golden Glider was interesting enough to keep me watching every week. There is a decent amount of dark comedy that I had fun with. And finally, this show could lead to the possibility of a live-action portrayal of this character in the future.
Negatives for Kite Man: Hell Yeah! (2024-): While I did have some fun with the show, I don't understand why we're following Kite Man. For me, there are a lot of other villains in the DC who are far more interesting to follow as the main character of a spin-off series.
Overall, Kite Man: Hell Yeah! (2024-) is a decent enough attempt to create some interest in a character who I never heard of, but I'm still wondering why did it have to be Kite Man.

- TriviaDespite being canonically tied to HBO Max's "Harley Quinn", the role of Lex Luthor was recast to the now late Lance Reddick. He took over the role from Giancarlo Esposito (who voiced the character in the aforementioned "Harley Quinn") due to scheduling conflicts.
