Completely unexpected but totally awesome Harley spinoff! The characters are awesome and grow on you fast. Totally love Bane being core group. Stories are fun and the laughs are just as good as Harley. Very awesome to have another show to look forward to while waiting for the next season of Harley. I've seen seven episodes so far and not one of them was disappointing or boring. Kitemans goofy ass is the heart of the show and ties everyone together in a thoughtful and meaningful way every episode. I really hope we get a few seasons out of this! It's super awesome to see the Harleyverse expanded.
So I just finished watching the first season of Kite Man: Hell Yeah! (2024-) earlier this morning and it was a decent enough spin-off show to Harley Quinn (2019-).
Positives for Kite Man: Hell Yeah! (2024-): For me, it was interesting having the main character being a villain that I have never heard of until now. The dynamic between kite Man and Golden Glider was interesting enough to keep me watching every week. There is a decent amount of dark comedy that I had fun with. And finally, this show could lead to the possibility of a live-action portrayal of this character in the future.
Negatives for Kite Man: Hell Yeah! (2024-): While I did have some fun with the show, I don't understand why we're following Kite Man. For me, there are a lot of other villains in the DC who are far more interesting to follow as the main character of a spin-off series.
Overall, Kite Man: Hell Yeah! (2024-) is a decent enough attempt to create some interest in a character who I never heard of, but I'm still wondering why did it have to be Kite Man.

When I first saw they had made this series, I was like - nobody wants this! I watched the first episode and was bored and left it. A couple of months go by and I was bored so I picked it up from Episode 2, which was hilarious and ridiculous to I went back to episode 1. A good six hours later I'm like hellz yeah! This was a complete surprise! I loved it. They expanded on a fringe character that I had never heard of before the Harley Quinn series and totally rode the wave with him in such an unexpected way. The backdrop of the story is just as ridiculous as the Harley Quinn series is, but they really up the humor leveraging on Kite Man's dimwittedness. I imagine a purist watching this and saying the Kite Man is meant to be a supervillain not an antihero - well those people can find something else to watch. I laughed so hard, I was invested in most of the characters. I cant wait for a Season2.
Happy to see any spinoff of Harley Quinn, and I find myself enjoying Kiteman even more so far. Yet I feel like people, myself included haha, need to stop comparing it to Harley Quinn. This is its own entity, clearly. The voice actors are sublime; I particularly love the voice of Bane--god, I hope he gets a spinoff! Also crack up every time the Queen of Fables opens her mouth. . . (Ava from "Abbott Elementary!") Another thing I love about the show are the visuals--the colors and images positively pop off the screen. And there is a strange comfort about a bar like Noonans. . . That 'ol "Cheers" memory perhaps. . .
How does DC create a show about a character without any real superpowers? Well the first episode is clear indication that this show has everything it takes to take it to another season and thats coming from episode 1. Funny, fast and very engaging, DC's least famous characters come to the foreffront of this show with its raunchy humour and.amateur gimmickry. Kiteman's girlfriend Golden Glider has a more powerful character and is madly in love with this goof ball. The show ends with a bat signal probably signalling him becoming a foe of Batman and I also hope there is an arc with Poison Ivy, with whom he has had a past, who has a small part in the first episode.
