  • So in the end, what started as a great drama about a vengeful woman turned into a farce. Really great storyline at the beginning. Seo Ye Ji as La El absolutely phenomenal. However, there was a turning point in the middle and the main character became a woman in love who competes with a psychopathic billionaire for the love of a man who has trouble showing any emotions. The male lead character showed almost no emotions or feelings throughout and it was quite difficult to believe that he was head over heels in love with the female lead. It's quite a pity that the goal of the series - revenge - completely disappeared in the second half and instead a typical love triangle appeared, where two absolutely phenomenal actresses compete for a man who, as I already wrote, did not show any relationship towards anyone during the entire series. ..
  • The story of a daughter who waits for years as she plots revenge on the people responsible for her fathers death. The superb Seo Yea-ji shines as always but sadly the series falls short on pacing. The story and characters are way too dramatic and people seem to commit kidnap and murder at will with no consequences. If they had reined in the script and reduced the dramatic conflict it would have been a much better series.
  • Seo Ye Ji's comeback show, Eve, started off well in it's first few episodes where she plays the lead character Ra El, looking for revenge on those who had his life trampled upon. The first half of the show's plot development is fantastic. The pilot episode and the initial sequences, including the opening scene, all had a constant flow and a number of peaks. The show's plot thickens with each passing episode as Ra El accomplishes more of her goals. We must acknowledge the way in which the characters' pasts were handled during times of uncertainty.

It's sluggish in the later half of the show, but it keeps you engaged and curious about what's to come. I felt there was too much of romance and less of revenge story going on in 2nd half, which made me uninterested a little, however Ye Ji was phenomenal in her role and she portrayed it really well, which made me stick to the show very end. The penultimate and concluding episode were the weakest episodes of the drama and evidently doesn't compares tp to other revenge thrillers, this is not one to write home about and ultimately struggles to stand out.

    My Rating : 7.5/10.
  • I liked it especially on the first episode up to d' eight..hoping that the story would Build up more on her revenge and on how the court will tackle the divorce lawsuit..but it was focused on rael's love situation on Chairman.. It could have a better ending than the ending that the writer focused on.. But forgiven it was a Makjang series. 🤗 Neways the acting did it for me! Seo yea ji's emotion, facial expression was on point aswell as yoosun it was enjoyable their banters..i hope to see them get a nomination for this..PBH really did great too but my fav was the latter part of the series(car scene) and Sangyeob i liked his eyes and could feel his love on rael's and the other supporting actors for their great acting! 🤗
  • This series marked the comeback from an absurd scandal for the unique and stunning Seo Ye Ji. Lots of wonderful outfits for SYJ. Plus her acting is good. Love the way they make use of her Spanish and the use of tango and the composer Piazzola's music.

It's an often darkly comic mostly engrossing and entertaining revenge drama. The villain played by Yoo Sun is such a riot. Better villain than Cheon Seo Jin in Penthouse. Complicated relationship with chairman Kang who stares in such a funny way. Lee Sang Yeob is underused.

Don't take it too seriously and just enjoy!

Korean Drama " Eve " is a revenge melodrama with a strong female lead.

The drama starts strongly, with the introduction of the characters and their background stories. It is intriguing and twisted, with lots of dark scenes and more mature themes.

However, the drama lost its way after that. It focused on the romance and got messy, with the pace being all over the place and no cohesion. It also got boring and lost its initial charm that had it being original, and got predictable.

The performances, on the other hand, were all great by everyone in the cast, who did a good job with their characters.

So, overall, six out of ten.
  • The story is super entertaining and climaxes are really strong.

Every actor/actress has played his/her character perfectly was zero boring or useless scenes Every episode is stronger than the latest one Now I'm on ep 14 and it's literally fire and I can't wait to see the last 2 episodes.

Damn, what can I say? The plot is very cool and interesting, but a little dragged out at the beginning, towards the end they already sped up, so much so that all these pursuits were no worse than American crime series, BUT the technical approach in Korean dramas just kills, the cameraman simply shoots faces in all possible angles in tense moments, I understand that they want to heat up the tension, but the editor adds slow motion so that we understand for sure that at this moment we need to tense up, and how does he add flashbacks to remind us 34987 times that they love each other so much, or something like that, at such moments I just skipped, because in reality 5% of the timing is just flashbacks in slow motion, with a spillover effect, as if it was edited by a first-grader

in short, the drama is cool, but the technical points and Park Byung-eun's face are like a brick..
  • I started this kdrama and the only thing i knew was that it's a makjang, a revenge story by a strong female lead, that's what i signed for and it's what i got.

It's true we've seen many revenge stories and this isn't completely new but the actors made it really interesting, everybody gave solid performances and the chemistry between the characters was really amazing especially Seo yea ji and Park Byung Eun, their chemistry was good and delivered one of their best performances so far, Lee sangyeob too was phenomenal and the way he acts with all the emotions in the eyes is noticeable.

I also appreciate the details, the fashion and the music, but unfortunately the direction and the filter they used on the actors downgraded the quality of the product, it was so unpleasant to watch on screen.

About the plot, it's true that it has many flaws and it could've been executed better but it was watchable until the last 2 episodes, nothing made sense and it got so ridiculous it ruined my experience watching this drama. Overall such a good makjang that deserves better ending.

I don't care what anyone says this drama is about to be a crazy rollercoaster of emotions. Seo Ye Ji is back with a vengeance with this role. I'm glad they gave it to her. If anything this reminds me of The World of the Married but more sinister.

I hope it stays a hardcore revenge plot with no mercy for the wicked (LY Group and its evil owners). There should be no softness in the revenge just like Vincenzo.

On a lighter note, Seo Yea Ji is nailing her character. It does not matter what scandals she had in the past...her acting is superb and honestly everybody makes mistakes.

    Looking forward to this.
  • This is a revenge drama, and nothing special or standout in the way the female protagonist's revenge method, she used the age old method, seduce the guy and boom, job supposedly done.

I don't much like the female lead, i found her not a good acting actress, in here and even in her previous drama - It is Okay to not be Okay. She always has this "i-am-a prima-donna-ice-queen" vibes. The male lead is even worse, no emotion or feelings whatsoever in his face throughout the 16 episodes. I found it hard to believe he is head over heel in love with La el and cant live without her. The combination of bad acting of the leads resulting in no chemistry whatsoever, cant see how they are madly in love and would risk all to be together. The wife & supporting cast's acting are better than the two leads here. Overall a subpar drama.

The story goes so slowly and dragged on, and there is one scene when the lead actress' earrings changed, and that was supposed to be in one setting. On another, her tattoo just varnished like magic? Or am i missing something.

The music is another failure, I truly don't understand why some Korea drama insist on using English songs, the music is loud and annoying.

I would rather prefer a Korean drama with all the Korean elements through and through.

    Overall, a disappointing drama.

Its so good . The line of the story is unpredictable . Almost like the penthouse.i saw many people talk about many of the savage scene of la el . And to be honest , im in the la el side . Because the han sora side of the family is so cruel and always punishing people easily by killing them.

The acting was outstanding. A great drama.

I personally love crinch love dramas. But this was a great story with nice character development. I tension true out the story when all begins to come together. I also loved the chemistry between the lead actors. If you really love happy light comic drama. This is not for you.

The last two episodes where rushed and I still had questions. The ending was so soon that I questioned if there was a plot twist. Unfortunately it wasn't. The chairman deserved a better and loving ending. Not even a funeral?

I would have been nice if he really just showed up in the tango club, still alive.
  • Seo Yea Ji is just exceptional as Lee Ra El here, her acting prowess is brilliant! She is made for this role, you can see how great of an actress she is with her perfectly executed microexpressions. No one does it like her! Other casts are really good too! Plotwise, it's very unpredictable you'll be at the edge of your seat every episode! Of course, Seo Yea Ji nailed her every outfit its becoming her runway. She's just too gorgeous! Her facial expressions are on point & she really knew how to use her gorgeous voice to suit the character. I love how dedicated she is in this role proving her audience she really deserve all the Best Actress awards there is. Please watch and support Eve, you'll never regret it!
  • Love the revenge storyline. Amazing preformances from lead actress Seo Yea-ji she never looked more beautiful. The second leads aka So Ra amazing even the CEO dad whom one loves to hate its giving it it's all down to CEO Kang. Whoever is in charge of the attire give them a raise. I am at episode 12 watching it religiously on time its that good. It's been awhile.

Good story but poor flow, slow sometimes, music is intense.but using body for revenge is disgusting, the girl is mostly up for her glamour but i didn't see anything real in her acting, when she's being naive, she whispers while delivering dialogues!she's beautiful ,bold, glamorous but i don't know i didn't like her that much in this drama where i loved her It's okay not to be okay.
  • Special and awesome Kdrama, I love it. This drama has One of the most beautiful songs of all time. The story is not special but direction and actors with best facial expressions have been changed everything. Actors are intelligent and lovely.
  • The show started well but it went downhill pretty early! Not sure if shortening the episode from 16 to 12 or lesser will even help because of the zero chemistry between the lead actor and the lead actress. The only thing that keep the show interesting is the high fashion clothing and accessories.
  • Eve is one of my favorite kdrama. Every episode is intense. It is really unpredictable. I am looking forward to the upcoming episodes. And I am dying to know how will it ends. Cheers to 8 more episodes!!!

Eight episodes in still feels like everything just begun because every episode is filled with thrill romance and suspense. Props to the writers and director for providing such amazing story and of course the cast is super good from the cameo actors to the MCs every one them is super good at their job, you can see that by all the love and hard work they pour in to their job. Love the revenge/suspence theme a lot. Seo Yea Ji is a queen and she looks so good in every episodes and does so well in them. Also she's shouting out her fans by wearing the gifts they sent her on her birthday in episodes. No wonder why people love and adore her. Can't go wrong with yea ji and that's a fact. Kyum yoon is og and sang yeob is og too love them both. So ra is fantastic actor who can fit into any role she's given overall dope cast love all of them. Must watch show. Super underrated.
  • Idk why people are so hateful towards people just because of manupulated truth and fake accusations.

This drama is DAMN and I LOVED IT, CRIED, BECAME OBSESSED it's worth watching.

Yae Ji did a very good job here. The others actors were mind blowing too.

The ultimate saga of revenge and love is just awesome.

    I truly enjoyed it

So I will ask people to stop judging the drama on the life of the actors. Just enjoy it because it is a drama.

I am not a critique. I love dramas because they convey a story. And I have got the story of the Eve. So I will say, I did enjoy this drama.

And I look forward to seeing Seo yae ji in other dramas, too.
  • It has a good storyline & acting. All the cast potray their character very well. I wish i can watch it again with the same feeling i got first time watching it.

The drama was visually appealing with sleek fashion yet shallow, drawing viewers in with its polished aesthetics and grand production, but failing to deliver on beyond its initial entertaining value. Speaking of production, whoever handled the post production processing and edit did a poor job with Seo Yea Ji scenes. They over softened her skin too much to an artificial level of smoothness. Despite knowing what's coming, the plot was initially as enjoyable as having a fast food meal after a late night. The entire plot was structured around heavily dramatized drawn out scenarios. This is the type of plot that other shows usually make a parody of it when mocking makjangs. The constant bombardment of flashy visuals and exaggerated emotions overshadowed everything. I admit I enjoyed that aspect of it but only for the first 5-6 episodes before it lost its appeal. Waiting for the revenge to finalize is what kept me going, however, I can't say I'm satisfied with the resolution of the revenge. I was hoping for something different and maybe a bit harsher. Moreover, If I'm not mistaken, we didn't know what happened to any of the children at the end. On another note, the drama came out around the same time as Seo Yea Ji was going through a controversy. I'm not well versed on the subject, but I couldn't help myself to draw some parallels with her character in the drama.

The cast and their acting is on point in this drama. This drama is too dark for me without any humour. Love and revenge who will win? All the actors played their parts so amazingly.

Specially the negative emotions, confusion, revenge, violence, hatred , anger, guilt, were portrayed so convincingly that you connect with the characters so much .

Though the plot is far from reality, the story line is captivating but a little unrealistic. Sometimes the episodes get too dark which is justified by passionate love.

There is something about the male lead that I cant point out. Is he good or wasnt he? He makes be believe he did the best job to convey the characters emotion but something is lacking.
