"Linda geht tanzen" or "Linda goes dancing" is a movie, which is probably as much of a drama as a comedy. This television production from less than five years ago was directed by Karola Hattop. She is over 60 and has worked in the movie industry for over 40 years. Sadly, her experience never shows. However, this film is a good example how even good actors cannot save a weak script. The again, this film did not have any particularly good actors. Koch was maybe the best one still, but Jäger, Hoppe and Landuris were all disappointing. It's about a marriage in danger of divorce when a younger and very creative man enters the life of the wife. The father-son relationship is depicted just like the mother-son relationship, but both could have needed more evaluation.

The dialogs are weak and the cliché I mentioned above with the younger guy is really used far too much. The dancing scenes in the restaurant, especially the one with the crew early on are fairly cringeworthy. The only thing I kinda liked about this film is that (unlike in other romantic comedies), you could not really know early on, if she will pick her husband or the new one. Halfway into the movie I actually picked the wring one. Only in the talk between her man of choice and her best friend, it becomes obvious which path this film is going to take. Also we do not really learn a whole lot about the other guy. Still, I never felt really involved with this movie or with the decisions the characters would make. Not recommended.
