Dax Shepard made this movie with a bunch of his friends in the business. This included his real-life girlfriend Kristen Bell, who played the same role in this film.

The budget for this film was about two million dollars. Half of that was to secure music rights.

The hot rod Lincoln Continental and the off-road race car belong to Dax Shepard in real-life. Also, since the movie was an independent production with no studio supervision, Dax also did his own stunt driving.

Because of the small budget, many of the cast members did their own stunt driving.

Joy Bryant (Neve), Dax Shepard's (Charles Bronson's) ex-fiancé played his television wife on Parenthood (2010).

Kristen bell's character is named Annie, and her husband, Dax Shepard, wrote the script for the film. Shepard told Mila Kunis during her interview on Shepard's podcast "Armchair Expert" that when they go home to Michigan, Bell's friends and family call her Annie.
