If you are looking for some entertainment where you can settle down with popcorn and enjoy for sometime then you won't be disappointed. Yami Gautam and Pratik Gandhi play a newly married couple who get the shock of their lives on their wedding night when two goons break into their home and desperately threaten to shoot them while asking for the whereabouts of "Charlie". The couple promptly escapes and then starts the roller coaster run chase at night through the town. Both Yami playing Koyal and Pratik playing Veer are opposites in every sense. He is a phobia filled Gujarati vet ( I am a vegetarian, I can't eat my patients!). She is a full blooded fiesty Pujabi girl who gulps whiskey and shoots with enthusiasm. Together they make a terrific quirky couple.
Director Rishab Seth fills the movie with an engrossing cocktail of comedy, action, slapstick, romance, music more than enough to keep you entertained. There are twists and turns with shady cops, a botched up robbery, kidnapping, a mysterious pen drive, unfaithful boyfriend etc etc all happening in a wild ride at a crazy pace at night. These misadventures are all presented in a humorous vein and it is light hearted fun all the way. The sitcom has lots of suspense filled action with surprises. Both actors have fully immersed themselves in their cranky roles. ( Watch Yami delivering the monologue and belting out expletives and Pratik doing the pole dance among other amusing scenes.)

Just a marriage propaganda type of movie.. wedding night disrupted when armed intruders storm their hotel room ask they run all night on road...find out girl past bf which girl family lie and boy history again his parent also lie...anyways the acting of both actor and actress is 10/10 but i don't like story much.
The direction is clumsy and uninspired, which is a shame because the cinematography has moments of beauty. There are scenes that stand out visually, but they are few and far between. The overall lack of fluidity in the storytelling makes the movie feel disjointed, and at times, you can almost sense the director's attempt to salvage something with dramatic visuals that don't quite land.
Script: The dialogue is another area where dhoom dhoom falters. The lines are often clunky, trying too hard to be clever but coming across as forced. There are moments of unintentionally awkward humor, but something its good...they show partik gandhi as a weak men who can't even answer anyone in face..atleast make it more realistic.

The wedding night gets rough turn when both bride and groom gets muddled in a police operation . It's an interesting premise for twist and turns . The story takes inspirations from movies like hangover where they have to connect the dots on what actually happened . It has a beautiful use of mcguffin ( if I tell you what , it will be a spoiler ) . There are sparky moments but also some unwanted scenes , the Kartik aryan type rant seems forced and long from Yami Gautam. Some places yami Gautam misses the beat , pratik on the other hand looks smooth . Climax has been closed in a good way but this could have been amazing comedy if it was rounded properly.
Comedy is often the most difficult genre, apart from horror, to tackle. Many directors have their own styles of delivering the best comedic offering.
Rishab Seth has done a great job with this light hearted offering which is high on comedic moments and he is ably supported by a great cast and apt writing.
The movie is not complex or deliver nuances or twists or thrills of any kind. But in a way, that is the key to the success of the movie as it is a no frills delivery which succeeds in all it sets out to do.
Yami is the star here with a spot on performance which highlights why she is probably one of the most under rated actresses. Her comedic timing, spot on dialogue delivery and overall presence drive the movie and it's story line.
Pratik Gandhi is probably the weak link not because he is not capable but somehow not in the same league as Yami when it comes to the demands of the role. He has no doubt delivered a par performance but maybe a better actor in the comedy arena, would have made it a more complete package.
The support cast has little to do in most scenes but the overall combo is wrapped up perfectly and makes for a viewing experience which is fun, fast paced and exciting. There are a lit of people who step in an out in different scenes and each does their part perfectly. Key mentions -- Prateik Babbar, Eijaz Khan.
The movie does not really have any dull moments and is a laugh riot. Definitely not to be missed.

I saw this pop up on Netflix and it looked like it might be fun.
I'm really glad I watched it - it IS a lot of fun. Best described as an action/romance, the married couple of an arranged marriage have their first night together go very wrong when people come to their hotel room door and demand - with menace - "something" that they have no idea what is.
They spend the next 24-hours escaping bad guys, breaking their stereotypes...of each other...getting to the bottom of the problem and more importantly getting to know each other, finally, and falling for each other.
I don't watch many Indian films (so, sorry if I'm ignorant of mega stars here) but it seemed way less predictable than the normal "Hollywood" films that have been heavily promoted on Netflix - the main characters weren't cardboard cutouts, and the lead actress managed to squeeze in an awesome feminist speech too while leading the action too. It was a sweet film that I smiled my way through.
It's not a work of art, but you'll not regret watching it and having fun in the process.
