Like him or not, Morgan Wallen is one of the biggest music artists in the world at the moment, in any genre. The country singer’s relatively young career has been a roller-coaster ride, to say the least, from the genuinely inspired to the boneheaded, and, in one case, shameful. Here’s a closer look at the major times the Sneedville, Tennessee, native has made waves with his music, his actions, or his words.

A trailer for Prey has just arrived online – and no, we’re not talking about that Predator movie that was just released a while back. This is a new movie called Prey, which Vertical will be giving a theatrical and VOD release on March 15th. It seems kind of soon to be sending another movie called Prey out into the world, but clearly Vertical disagrees. Ryan Phillippe (Shooter), Emile Hirsch (The Autopsy of Jane Doe), and Mena Suvari (American Beauty) star in this “nature run amok” survival thriller, and you can check out the trailer in the embed above. A poster for the film can be seen at the bottom of this article.
Written and directed by Mukunda Michael Dewil, who previously worked with Phillippe on the 2022 thriller Collide and with Hirsch on the 2022 thriller The Immaculate Room, Prey has the following synopsis: After an extremist militant group threatens their lives,...

Rocket Science has boarded the biopic “The Good Spy,” about CIA operative Robert Ames, from Oscar-nominated “Paradise Now” and “Omar” director Hany Abu-Assad.
The pic is based on Pulitzer Prize-winning author Kai Bird’s biography of Ames. Scott Frazier (“Berliner”) is adapting for screen.
“Free Solo” and “Everest” producer Evan Hayes will produce under his Ace (Anomaly Content & Entertainment) production company. Laurie MacDonald and Walter Parkes will executive produce with Frazier, while Bird will act as a consultant on the project.
Rocket Science is financing the film and will co-represent worldwide sales with CAA Media Finance.
Said Abu-Assad: “When Robert Ames moved deeper into the life of Ali Hasan Salameh, a prominent Plo member, he realizes that not only is he crossing the line between the CIA and being involved in his enemy’s cause, but the friendship between the two men leads to a certain threat to the establishment of both sides.

A new year has finally arrived and HBO Max is set to open it with a bang. With its list of new releases for January 2022, HBO Max is rolling out some intriguing original series and an absolutely packed slate of library titles.
The real highlight this month comes on Jan. 13 with the release of Peacemaker. Developed by James Gunn, this series spins off John Cena’s titular character from last years’ The Suicide Squad. The show will delve into the pathology of a superhero who will achieve peace regardless of how many people need to be killed to attain it.
Also of note this month are second seasons for two major HBO series. Euphoria season 2 and The Righteous Gemstones season 2 both premiere on Jan. 9, making for quite the odd double feature. Meanwhile, the fifth and final season of superb comedy Search Party arrives on Jan. 7.

Like seemingly all the awards shows this season, the 63rd Grammy Awards were filled with surprises, ranging from unprecedented record-breaking splits to a significant number of upsets. Before this week, one of the worst moments of Morgan Wallen‘s singing career was when his coach Adam Levine cut him during “The Voice” Season 6 playoffs. Six years later, Wallen is no doubt having flashbacks to his untimely elimination as he was just dumped by “Saturday Night Live” for breaking Covid-19 health safety protocols.
The rising country star was set to perform two songs during the October 10 episode of “SNL,” alongside host Bill Burr. It would have been a great chance for Wallen to reintroduce himself to audiences after originally rising to fame on NBC’s reality TV show, especially now that he’s having a successful run on the awards front, earning nominations at the Cmt Music Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards and Billboard Music Awards.

The fine art of romance is a difficult éclat to master, and if anyone understands that, it's Tiana Major9. After all, muddled feelings about relationships are what inspired her new EP, At Sixes and Sevens, which dropped on Aug. 7. A follow-up to 2019's Rehearsal @ Nine, the 24-year-old star's latest project is an introspective journey through love's tangled nexus. "During this period of my life, I've been feeling very conflicted about love, how to be in love, and how to navigate love," the "Collide" songstress told Popsugar. "So the EP is really about all of those things."
"I learned that I'm highly sensitive and very in tune with my emotions, and that's what I love about the EP."
But At Sixes and Sevens is more than your cookie-cutter "love is complicated" collection of tunes. There's an overarching theme of self-awareness that enriches the exploration, and the London-born vocalist harps on that insight by interlacing short affirmations.

Farewell to the great Florian Schneider, co-founder of Kraftwerk, the German electronic duo who changed everything about the way music sounds. “Kraftwerk is not a band,” Schneider told Rolling Stone in 1975. “It’s a concept. We call it ‘Die Menschmaschine,’ which means ‘the human machine.’ We are not the band. I am me. Ralf is Ralf. And Kraftwerk is a vehicle for our ideas.” As his longtime collaborator Ralf Hütter once said, Schneider was the “sound fetishist” of the group — the machine in the mensch-machine.
Kraftwerk always reveled in their reputation as cerebral technocrats.

Florian Schneider, co-founder and keyboardist of the influential German electronic music group Kraftwerk, has died at the age of 73.

“In the year 1968, Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider started their artistic and musical collaboration,” the statement continued. “In 1970, they founded their electronic Kling Klang studio...

“Queen & Slim,” the film, traffics in sudden tragedy and symbolic terror as it portrays the violence of self-defense and self-awareness in stark, painful terms. It deserves an equally audacious score and soundtrack, a job that has gone to another Devonté Hynes, the British singer, songwriter, guitarist, record producer and director in his guise of Blood Orange.
Hynes has been known for his other musical projects, the punky Test Icicles and the dreamy Lightspeed Champion. But as Blood Orange, Hynes has found himself at the axis of abstract soul and ambient electronic pop with a lyrical edge that is as deeply emotional as it is bracingly inventive. Plus, in the last several years, Orange has been in the pink of top-tier production and writing assignments for the likes of Mariah Carey, Solange, Mac Miller, Fka Twigs, Haim, Florence and the Machine, Carly Rae Jepsen, Kylie Minogue and Blondie. We’ve got some interesting new information to share with you regarding the long awaited Gears of War movie. The script for the film is being worked on by F. Scott Frazier (Collide and xXx: Return of Xander Cage).
When it was announced that he was writing the movie, it was said that the story would be set on the planet Sera, and that it follows a former P.O.W. “who leads the human resistance against the Locust Horde, a race of creatures who emerge from beneath the Earth’s surface intent on eliminating mankind.”
According to Gears of War head Rod Fergusson, the movie will not be set in the same reality of the game. It will be its own thing and tell its own story, a story that will not be dependent on the games. He explains:

Universal Pictures is moving forward with their big screen adaptation of the hit video game Gears of War.
This project has been sitting around waiting to be developed at the studio for a couple years. They picked up the rights to the property back in 2016, but now according to The Wrap, they’re ready to get serious about moving forward with it. They’ve hired screenwriter F. Scott Frazier to write the script. Frazier’s previous writing credits include Collide and xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
I think that the films Frazier has worked on have been pretty mediocre action film projects, so I’m not expecting much from the Gears of War script that he’ll write. I’m sure the movie will look visually awesome, but as I’ve said many times before, visuals don’t make a great film.

One year ago, fueled by female audiences, Wonder Woman was lighting up the summer box office, en route to becoming the third largest domestic release of 2017. This weekend, the female-led ensemble cast of Ocean's 8 looks to deliver some solid results of its own following a downer weekend last week. Also hitting theaters is A24's much-talked about horror film Hereditary as well as Global Road's Hotel Artemis. Meanwhile, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is getting its start internationally this weekend, two weeks ahead of its domestic bow. Debuting in a healthy 4,145 theaters, Ocean's 8 features a massive ensemble including Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina and Mindy Kaling. The film fits within the Ocean's film franchise, which began with the 2001 remake starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon and debuted with $38.1 million. That filmed spawned two sequels, the last of which hit theaters eleven years ago,...

Whether or not you agree that “The Emoji Movie” was the Worst Picture of 2017, it’s easy to single out the Razzies as the worst “awards” show. Routinely picking low-hanging fruit that’s already been panned rather than making even slightly bold choices, the 38-year-old institution “honored” the critically reviled “Emoji Movie” with a total of four prizes.
Also singled out were “The Mummy,” for which Tom Cruise was named Worst Actor, and “Fifty Shades Darker,” which was deemed the Worst Sequel, Rip-Off, or Remake. Darren Aronofsky’s “mother!” received three nominations but managed to avoid the dubious honor of actually winning. Full list of winners below:

A dreary mess of missed opportunities, “Proud Mary” isn’t quite as bad as some of the other glorified direct-to-video dreck that’s slipped onto screens in recent months (shout out to the likes of “Marauders” and “Collide”), but it’s nevertheless significantly more disappointing. This should have been a sure thing, especially at a time that feels ripe for a modified revival of blaxploitation cinema; to paraphrase Jean-Luc Godard: “All you need to make a movie is Taraji P. Henson with a gun and a good reason to use it.”
Throw in a soundtrack that can keep up with the “Empire” star’s natural swagger and you’re really cooking with gas. How the hell do you mess that up? How do you start with “‘Foxy Brown’ meets ‘John Wick’” and end up with a bargain bin action vehicle that will bore fans of either and frustrate fans of both?...

The beauty of being a high school senior in your second semester is that it can seem like nothing matters for a minute. Friendships have been sealed, college applications have been submitted, and everyone is fully aware that the end of summer is going to shake things up like an etch-a-sketch, forcing them to start over from (what feels like) scratch. For a lot of teens — particularly the privileged ones — that brief period of time is a perfect storm of personal agency and emotional recklessness. Never again will they have so little responsibility, either to themselves or to each other.
It’s enough to make someone feel invincible, enough to make them feel like things are going to be this way forever.

Sir Ben Kingsley has never been shy about hamming it up in low-rent garbage (check out 2015’s “Self / Less” to watch him dye his skin orange and play a bald-headed version of Trump), but his latest performance takes things to another level entirely. The kind of low-rent action movie that only exists because everybody involved knew that nobody in the Western world would ever see it, Eran Creevy’s “Collide” stars Nicholas Hoult as a reformed car thief and Felicity Jones as the dying girlfriend whose kidney failure inspires him to do one last job.

Nicholas Hoult stars as Casey, a low-level criminal who gives up his life of delinquency when he falls in love with Juliette (Felicity Jones). However, in order for them to live happily ever after, Casey must resume working for drug dealer Geran (Ben Kingsley) on a task that puts both him and Juliette in the crosshairs of notorious...
