  • This is a collection of three short animated films about the minions who are up to mischief and havoc everywhere they go.

"Banana" is cute and fun to watch. Despite them uttering 'banana' and 'no' only, their simple minded actions and even their intentions are clearly portrayed. It is very funny to see them acting impulsively, with no consideration of the consequences of their action.

"Home Makeover" is quick paced and quite creative. How the home is so unsuitable for children is quite entertaining to watch. For example, there are axes, needles and even a coffin! The minions work hard to make the home warm and welcoming, and concealing the dangerous items like pros.

"Orientation Day" is not as entertaining as it could be, but fortunately the second half of the film showing the minion working in the laboratory is way more entertaining than the first half. I think this is the weakest short animation out of the three I watched.

Minion Madness are three little movies where you can find histories about the life of meaning at work and in Gru House. Minion always brings lots of laughs, no matter what they do!

Perfect Quality makes you feel there really exist. Each one of theses 3 movies is just really awesome! This little thing walking like persons with their particular language makes you surprise yourself for each little adventure.

When I meet them in "Despicable me" I never imagine who becomes in the real protagonist of the history, Gru was very exceptional too, but, the minions make an actuation that makes you fall in love with each one of the characters

I recommend you to watch and enjoy it this little minion madness until the movie arrive to the cinemas!

I can't wait to go to the cinema to see minions on the big screen.

Minion Madness are three very short films but I would not buy them on DVD unless it was going very cheap as they are only less than 15 minutes long in total.

The three shorts mainly feature the Minions which have proved to be very popular with kids.

Orientation Day - is about the cloned Minions getting ready for a new job in Dru's laboratory as they try to build a rocket and cause mayhem.

Home Makeover - See the Minions getting the home ready for an inspection by the social worker while Dru is away and seems to be the most creative.

Banana - Is the one that the kids will probably like the most and irritate the adults equally as the Minions go around uttering banana as they all go for the same banana.
  • I admit I should have read the product description more carefully, but the total length of this video (all three "mini-movies" combined) is just around 12 minutes. I feel silly to have paid anything at all for a 12-minute video, and would not buy any more "mini-movies" again in the future. I gave it two stars instead of just one, only because the mini-movies themselves are very cute.
  • Warning: Spoilers
"Banana" is a 3-minute short film starring the Minions from "Despicable Me". It came out after the first of the so far two movies and now that the Minions got their own film, it may be time to take a closer look at their short film past. The story here is very simple. One Minion has a banana, but another one sees it and wants it too. Pay attention to how some Minions have one eye and others have two. Quickly, a third Minion joins the battle, probably their foreman. The action takes place at a factory and it won't take too long until the entire staff is basically chasing after the banana. No good can come from that sadly and in the end, the banana is lost. Luckily for everybody, there's another delicacy around pretty quickly. I did not find this short film too funny to be honest. Not really recommended, only for hardcore fans of the Minions.

"Home Makeover" is another pretty short spin-off that came out after the first "Despicable Me". This one actually features all the characters and not only the Minions, the girls have some screen time and Gru appears at the end as well. Kyle Balda directed this one just like the other two short films and he also directed the pretty successful "Minions" movie very recently. His co-director, also like in the other two short films, is Samuel Tourneux, an Academy Award nominee for "Even Pigeons Go to Heaven". Anyway, here a social worker from the orphanage pays an unexpected visit, but sadly Gru is not home, so the girls (and the Minions) take care of the issue. All in all, not as funny as I hoped sadly. These short films are certainly weaker than the feature movies.

"Orientation Day" is the third short film spin-off from "Despicable Me" and it also runs for briefly over 3 minutes. Just like in "Banana", this one is exclusively about the minions and the girls are not in here and neither is Gru. In this one, we basically see how a trio of new "Minions" are getting ready for their new life and job. They get to watch a training video, but this did not prepare them properly as quickly after rockets keep falling down from high places and explosions ensue. The future in the company will probably not look better for these new guys I am afraid if they already start like that. The other two Minions short films I was not too big on and this one is as forgettable as the other ones pretty much. Not recommended.
  • What a fun cartoon this was to watch, no matter what age you are this cartoon caters for you... it has so many fun filled and realist elements to it. Although it has a unrealistic cartoon setting, it deals with so many realistic issues. (E.g. child adoption, friendship, hero's, bad guys, etc)

This cartoon displays excellent animation features, and the play of colour throughout the movie was well thought of. I could watch it over and over again.

Despicable Me is one of those cartoons you can watch with your kids and safely know that it will teach them a little samething, e.g. hw to treat a pet, or making someones day and how to respect someone's property. These real life issues are brought across in a light hearted way which makes it easy to enjoy with younger viewer's.

Amazing cartoon, I would definitely recommend it! A must watch!
