With each subsequent interview, ex-Megadeth bassist David Ellefson opens up a little bit more about his unceremonious removal from the band in 2021 following a highly publicized online sexual encounter.
Speaking with Spanish site The Metal Circus, Ellefson let it all out in a tell-all interview that hit on his exit from Megadeth, the aforementioned sexual incident, and Ellefson’s current musical endeavors — which even includes playing Megadeth covers in his Kings of Thrash project.
Ellefson said he didn’t choose to leave Megadeth and is “clearly not mad about the past.” He still considers himself an “ambassador” for the group due to his lengthy history as its bassist.
“I think I’m being very respectful toward it despite how my dismissal was handled,” he said [as transcribed by Blabbermouth]. “I think I’ve gone above and beyond being respectful.”

Sharon Osbourne will star in Fox Nation’s “Sharon Osbourne: To Hell & Back,” a four-part docuseries that will debut in September, Jason Klarman, the streaming platform’s president, announced on Tuesday.
“We are excited to be the place that Sharon chose to tell her incredible story. From her remarkable career as a music manager, to creating television’s first celebrity reality show, to her dramatic exit from ‘The Talk,’ Sharon will take viewers behind the scenes of it all,” said Klarman.
Osbourne added, “Fox Nation subscribers will have an unbridled look into the toll the cancel culture phenomenon had on my life and career. I hope telling my story for the first time will help audiences understand the impact this movement can have on individuals and families.”
She will document her experience at CBS, including the events that led to her March 2021 departure from the daytime talk show. The documentary...

The surprise success of “Good Boys” has sparked conversations about a resurgence of the R-rated comedy. After reading countless obituaries for the blockbuster comedy genre, the fact that a raunchy film with no star power could carry a weekend should be welcome news to movie lovers. It remains to be seen whether this inspires Hollywood to make more great adult comedies, but here are ten of the best to tide you over.

After going over 25 other horror movies that are streamable on Netflix over four other articles, it should be pretty clear that, contrary to popular belief, there are good (if not outright great) horror movies on Netflix. Running the gamut from all-time classics like The Shining (1980) to barely-seen oddities like Hell and Back (2015), the platform really does feature something for every kind of moviegoer. But, through some fluke of the alphabet, some of the weirdest, wildest and most wickedly horrific entries now come at the very end. So reader beware, you’re in for a scare! Teeth (2007) In

By now, at least, it should be obvious that there’s more to Netflix’s horror canon than a few straggling leftovers that somehow weren’t cut during the previous month’s culling of content. They have heavy-hitters and child-friendly options alike. They have everything from the outright horrific to the merely horror-adjacent to movies that aren’t even horror so much as just Halloween-themed. It’s not a perfect list, to be sure, but there’s plenty to choose from regardless of what your investment is in the genre, and there’s even more to sort through on the streaming service. One of my favorite things about having all these amazing streaming services pretty much at my fingertips these days is that not only do they help fill in a lot of gaps when it comes to horror titles new and old, but many of them also feature many of the brilliant horror documentaries that have been coming out over the last decade or so that have helped redefine what is possible when you take a moment to examine the various facets of horror, including real-life horrors and live events. As someone who relishes the history of our horror in all its forms, I think it’s absolutely amazing that these digital avenues now exist and provide a platform for all these awesome genre docs to be enjoyed by fans everywhere.

CBS’ Big Brother jumped up a ratings point Wednesday facing off against NBC’s two-hour World Of Dance on its new night and Fox’s MasterChef. The boost made CBS’ long-running reality series primetime’s top-rated and most-watched program in Nielsen’s Live+Same Day numbers.
Still, NBC, which saw World of Dance dented two-tenths minus its usual America’s Got Talent lead-in when it aired on Mondays, won Wednesday in total viewers. Its 10 Pm original Reverie was even with last week.
Behind its Gordon Ramsay doubleheader that included 24 Hours to Hell and Back, down a tenth, at 9 Pm, Fox took the night overall in the demo; MasterChef was flat with last week.

The series premiere of the competition series “Tko: Total Knockout” was something of a mixed bag on CBS Wednesday night.
The Kevin Hart-hosted series averaged a mediocre 0.9 in adults 18-49 and 4 million viewers, airing at 9 p.m. in the post-“Big Brother” time slot. While by no means a breakout, the show still tied for number one in the key demo in its time slot and scored the largest premiere audience for a new alternative series this summer.
Earlier on CBS, “Big Brother” bounced back from its 4th of July dropoff and was handily the top-rated show of the night. At 10, “Code Black” was also up from the holiday last week.

Scream Factory is an awesome imprint and they show no signs of slowing down with their superb releases. To that end, the horror distribution arm of Shout! Factory has recently released the festival hit A Dark Song, which toured the circuit last year to great acclaim. (You can read Shelagh's Fantastic Fest review here.) In the film, Sophia (Catherine Walker) seeks revenge over the shocking and untimely death of her young son, and she'll go to Hell and back to do it. She's hired Joseph (Steve Oram), to perform black magic rituals in a remote Welsh manor so she can speak to her dead son. We're definitely fans of Lovecraft horror stories here at MoreHorror and the Lovecraft universe in general.
Lovecraft fans are pretty particular with film adaptations let alone adding to his beloved universe. The Cloverfield films have proven it can be done and embraced on film if executed properly.
Writer Scott Shoyer is attempting to go down that road with his new novel, Horror in The Clouds from Severed Press. It will be ultimately up to fans to decide if they are open to the idea of introducing "a new breed of Elder Gods", (is that an oxymoron?) into the Lovecraft universe. If anyone can pull it off, it would seem that Shoyer is primed for it.
Check out all the details about the book from the official press release below.

Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) is finally on her way to Westeros, army and dragons in tow. The living embodiment of winter, the White Walkers, marches toward the Wall. Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) have taken back control of Winterfell.

Just as Stevie Nicks once sung about sorrow, The Edge Of Seventeen ties teenage angst with lonesome grief in a way that’s all-too real (and somehow delightful). Kelly Fremon Craig’s debut – while rooted in tragedy – blasts light through darkness, and works to build characters who navigate raw minefields full of suffering. We’ve all endured the torture of puberty, grasping helplessly onto slippery ropes that eventually lead to self-discovery, but Craig tunes into adolescent ambivalence with more humor and heart than most.
It’s this abandonment of lovey-dovey mentoring that appreciates the imperfections of life, staged against pitch-black wit introduced through a scene-one suicide confession (obvious over-dramatics, but a prime start nonetheless). The Edge Of Seventeen is a plea for those who feel hopelessly alone, and a reminder that high school is but a phase – even if, in those years, it seems like the end of days.

So… we’ve seen what our playthings do while we’re away in the Toy Story trilogy. And just a few weeks ago we saw what our animal companions do when we’re off to work and school in The Secret Life Of Pets. Well, what’s left? Ya’ ever wonder what happens at the grocery store once the lights are out and the doors are locked? No, seems that Seth Rogen and his pals have been curious about everything on the shelves and in the bins. And, no big surprise, their imaginations have come up with something more than a touch adult. With their help, animation will burst through the confines of “all ages” entertainment, which has happened several times in the last five decades. Feature adult animation’s first big hit was the 1972 Ralph Bakshi adaptation of R Crumb’s underground comic Fritz The Cat. A sequel quickly...

Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) has tried desperately to control her son and his blackouts throughout the first three seasons of Bates Motel. Although she definitely gets an “A” for effort, Norman has proved to be much more deadly than imagined, and a few unfortunate people have discovered this fact firsthand. With Bates Motel returning to A&E tonight, Daily Dead had the opportunity to watch the first two episodes of the fourth season, and at least one thing is certain: as creepy as he has been in the past, Norman has never been more dangerous—or fun to watch—than he is right now.
The violent end to Bates Motel’s third season is a tough act to follow, but Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin use that malevolent momentum to jump start the fourth season and send it further into the dark depths of Norman’s mind. Viewers have seen Norman’s psychotic side before,...

If you’re like me, you meet every announcement of a comic book-based television adaptation with simultaneous excitement and dread. Excitement, because if nothing else these “superhero” shows produce a modicum of fun action beats that their somewhat leaden stories may catch up with over time (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., for example). Then you might feel dread, because honestly we’re only human and can fit just so many hours of TV into our week. The hero of Fox’s aggressively loose adaptation of The Sandman spinoff comic series Lucifer isn’t human, and his show – remember I say this with that same mix of happiness and misfortune – is definitely not worth your time. Okay, it’s mostly happiness.

So, you’ve enjoyed most of last year’s animated feature films? Yes, 2015 was a pretty good year, but doesn’t match up to the gold standard of 1999 (Toy Story 2, The Iron Giant, Disney’S Tarzan, and South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut). Still Pixar had its best work in years with Inside Out and that Shaun The Sheep was a loving tribute to classic silent comedies, but the other major hits like Minions and The Good Dinosaur were geared toward the small fry (not that Out and The Peanuts Movie didn’t appeal to all ages). For this new film, definitely leave the kiddos at home. Yes we did have an “R” rated animated film last year with Hell And Back, but that flick was chocked full of sophomoric sex jokes and “gross-out” gags. This holdover from ’15 (now getting a wide release) is truly adult in subject matter and graphics,...

You may have noticed posters for the R-rated, stop-motion animated comedy Hell and Back throughout the summer and fall seasons in anticipation of its October release only to find it didn’t come to a theater near you. It was released and took in about $150,000 on the few screens it graced to the chagrin of a ton of hopeful Nick Swardson fans complaining on the movie’s Facebook page about their inability to watch. So this week brings with it a belated VOD Christmas gift for many. To all those who believe themselves one of these brave souls chomping at the bit, please look deep inside yourself and really ask whether Swardson is your God because his being merely a passing chuckle won’t be enough to save you.

Us cable network Starz is dipping its toe further into the bloody water of horror mixed with comedy after Ash Vs. Evil Dead. The channel now has Mila Kunis and Rob Zombie developing a show called Trapped. While Kunis will be producing and Zombie offering his directorial services, Arrested Development veteran Joey Slamon will be on scripting duty after coming up with the idea for the series. The plot apparently takes place during a single night in the home of a wealthy family who are under attack by a murderous cult. There are no details on when it might hit screens – things are only just getting moving, after all – but if it all works out, it’ll be a half-hour mixture of laughs and screams that sounds a little bit like You’re Next: the series. Kunis, last seen in Jupiter Ascending, will also mix horror and humour in Hell And Back...

Coming from the guys who brought us Robot Chicken and Bojack Horseman, Hell and Back aims to bring back the R-rated cartoon to the big screen, with the tale of three friends who must escape back to our world after being whisked into the bowels of hell. On top of that, this stop motion animation features one hell (sorry) of a voice cast, including T.J. Miller, Nick Swardson, Mila Kunis, Danny McBride, Susna Sarandon, and Saul Goodman himself, Bob Odenkirk, as the Devil. The first very Nsfw and pretty damn funny trailer can be seen below, and I think you’ll agree this will be perfect Halloween viewing. Released: October 2nd...

It's not often that you see an R-rated stop-motion animated feature, but Shadow Machine's new film Hell And Back is definitely looking to fill that void. Nick Swardson and T.J. New posters and a Nsfw trailer are here for Hell And Back.
In the outrageous R rated animated comedy from the Animation studio that brought you “Robot Chicken,” “Triptank” and “Bojack Horseman,” three friends embark on a wayward journey into the deepest, darkest depths of hell to rescue one of their own.
While navigating their escape, they provoke a slew of misfit demons, a super sexy angel, infamous Greek legends, and the Devil himself; Hell has never been hotter!
In the film, T.J. Miller plays a not-so-svelte guy named Augie who gets pulled into Hades along with his best friend Remy (stand-up comedian Nick Swardson). The thing is, this Hell is pretty hilarious, raunchy, and boasts an all-star cast that includes Mila Kunis as a devious demon who leads the two mortals on an odyssey through Satan’s inferno. Bob Odenkirk voices the devil, and Susan Sarandon plays his angel of desire.

With animation so often linked with family-friendly fun, it’s always shocking to see an animated film that’s not meant for the eyes of a 10-year-old. Hell And Back is certainly one of those films, which had its first trailer drop today. From the guys behind Robot Chicken, this new R-rated animated comedy stars the likes of Nick Swardson, T.J. Miller, Bob Odenkirk, Mila Kunis, Michael Pena, Susan Sarandon, and Danny McBride. Here’s the synopsis:

The first red band trailer has been released for "Hell and Back," an R-rated stop-motion animated comedy feature from the creators of Adult Swim's "Robot Chicken" series. The film hits cinemas on October 2nd.
T.J. Miller, Nick Swardson and Rob Riggle lend their voices to three friends who literally find themselves in hell in the comedy which also boasts a cast that includes Mila Kunis as a demon, Danny McBride as Orpheus, Susan Sarandon as an Angel, and Bob Odenkirk as The Devil.

The R-rated animated movie is perhaps the last mountain to climb as it's not a genre that people around Hollywood invest in on a regular basis, but that's changing. Seth Rogen and co. already have "Sausage Party" coming next summer, but beating them to the punch is "Hell And Back," and the first red band trailer for the film has landed. Marketing is always a very carefully plotted out thing, but I'm not sure it's wise to make the first impression with a masturbation turned rape joke. It's a pretty low bar to hit and not hit very well either. Anyway, Mila Kunis, T.J. Miller, Michael Pena, Susan Surandon, Bob Odenkirk, and Danny McBride all lend their voices to this one, which is about an unlikely gang who have to face a big evil. Because animated comedy Hell & Back didn’t already boast a bulging cast list, directors Tom Gianas and Ross Shuman have added yet another name to the roster. Susan Sarandon has climbed aboard, and she’ll be voicing an angel named Barb.Hell & Back finds best mates Remy (Nick Swardson) and Augie (TJ Miller) journeying into the Inferno to rescue a mate who has accidentally been dragged down there. The voice cast includes (very deep breath) Mila Kunis, who signed on in March, Jennifer Coolidge, Rob Riggle, Danny McBride, Bob Odenkirk, Kerri Kenney, Michael Pena, David Koechner, JB Smoove, Brian Posehn, Greg Proops, Seth Morris and Jay Johnston, among others. Suffice to say, it’ll be distinctly R-rated, no-holds-barred comedy. With a script by Robot Chicken veterans Zeb Wells and Hugh Sterbakov, it’s going through the stop-motions right now and is set for release… Well, it hasn’t locked that particular detail in just yet,...

Exclusive: Mila Kunis has been set to star in Hell & Back alongside Nick Swardson, Tj Miller, Rob Riggle, Brian Posehn and Kumail Najiani. The R-rated stop-motion animated comedy follows two best friends (Swardson and Miller) as they rescue a buddy who’s been dragged to hell by accident. ShadowMachine’s Corey Campodonico, Eric Blyler and Alex Bulkley are producing and Tommy Gianas is directing with Ross Shuman. Script revisions are being made by Hugh Sterbakov. Kunis is a female demon whose ability to navigate the underworld makes her the toughest rogue demon in Hell. Her independent streak comes from the fact she’s half human. She was sired by the Orpheus of myth when he traveled down the River Styx, nailing everything in sight. Kunis wrapped Oz: The Great and Powerful for Disney and the Seth MacFarlane-directed Ted for Universal. She’s repped by CAA and Curtis Talent Management.
