A Good Marriage

The novella was based on the BTK serial killings (by Dennis Rader) that occurred in Kansas from 1974 to 1991.

During the opening scene at the 25th wedding anniversary party, a sinister-looking character (who turns out to be an investigator looking into a series of gruesome murders) sits at the bar looking at a newspaper with the headline: "Expect Beadie To Mail Latest Vicitm's ID." The word "victim" is misspelled.
