Summary
Reviewers say 'Culpa Mía' delves into forbidden love, family dynamics, and teenage rebellion, set against wealth and privilege. Praised for lead chemistry, action sequences, and romance, it faces criticism for clichés, unrealistic plot points, and exaggerated characters. Some find it entertaining and a good time-pass, while others call it poorly constructed and cringeworthy. The film's portrayal of taboo relationships and its comparison to franchises like 'After' spark debate.

My Fault, the latest romantic comedy flick, offers a familiar and straightforward storyline accompanied by over-the-top action sequences. While the movie falls victim to a slow pace and lacks a unique twist, it still manages to provide decent entertainment for those seeking a lighthearted romantic comedy or simply looking for a fun way to pass the time.
One notable aspect that sets My Fault apart from traditional rom-coms is its inclusion of over-the-top action sequences. These unexpected bursts of excitement inject an element of thrill into an otherwise straightforward storyline.
However, one area where My Fault falls short is in its pacing. The movie struggles to maintain a consistent rhythm, occasionally feeling sluggish and dragging out certain scenes unnecessarily. The slow pacing dampen the overall enjoyment, leaving me wishing for a tighter and more dynamic progression of events.
In terms of production value, My Fault excels. The cinematography captures vibrant and visually appealing settings, enhancing the film's romantic atmosphere. The well-executed soundtrack complements the narrative, heightening emotional moments and adding to the overall appeal of the movie.
Ultimately, My Fault is a decent film that provides an entertaining escape for rom-com enthusiasts or those looking for a light-hearted and enjoyable viewing experience. While the basic storyline and occasionally slow pacing may deter some people like me, the inclusion of over-the-top action and the overall charm of the film make it a suitable choice for a time-pass movie night.

It really isn't that bad, especially if you're trying to relax after a long day. Just by reading the decription you get a hint what kind of movie it is.
I didn't expect some extraordinary plot, dialogue or characters. I knew it would be cheesy and cirnge and that is exactly what I needed in that moment.
It's not a masterpiece and I'm glad it isn't. This movie is my 'culpa mia' :D just like watching After.
I mean, this movie screams 'red flag' but it is just too unrealistic and I can't even identify myself with it, so I just watch it and daydream.
Put all expectations aside and enjoy in this teen love drama.

If you judge the film with the criteria for piece of life dramas, it is definitely lacking. Because it is made of fairy-tales stuff. It is Cinderella, moving from shambles to a palace, where she meets a benevolent king and a Prince Charming. It is about a girl, beating hard-core men at their own game - drift driving. It is about the bad boy with a golden heart. About Red Riding Hood, saved by Prince Charming and the Hunter from the Big Bad Wolf. And most of all, about romantic love. The film is made fairly competently, it is dynamic and there wasn't a dull moment. The lead actors wouldn't be remembered for subtlety and nuance, but they are definitely good-looking and have a palpable chemistry. Don't judge and expect too much and you can actually enjoy it.
Watching this movie felt like I had just randomly grabbed a new release from the romance section and started reading. The opening scenes set up nothing but cliched tropes with what seemed to be stock characters and overdone situations. Except that this story ended up being really entertaining anyway. Noah and Nick act like characters that are written instead of real teens, until they suddenly don't. I actually kind of believed that they had reasons they would end up liking each other. Instead of groaning about how they were just thrown together for the sake of the plot, I ended up caring about their relationship working out. I didn't want anything bad to happen to them, and I wasn't counting the minutes until they were off the screen. Now, the third act climax deflated much of that feeling when we get a standard action movie finale, but once it all wraps up, I was back to wanting to see the couple succeed. I don't think I would even mind a sequel, which they seemed to be planning based on the last lines of the film. I am sure that there will be a lot of people who will watch this movie who won't get caught up in the story like I allowed myself to--some viewers will just focus on the flaws, which would be easy to do. But for anyone just looking for lighter-than-air entertainment, you might have the right mindset for this one.
I really don't get the love this movie is receiving from so many viewers. It's so terribly dull. There might be something interesting in the chemistry between the main couple and some scenes are hotter than those we see in a usual movie of the week. But everything else just doesn' work and the movie doesn't trust its main plot, adding up some seriously uninteresting and unconvincing stuff. The constant intervention of the annoying score. The attempt to emulate "Fast and Furious"-like action. The absolute cheesiness of the mystery... Anyway, each own with their likes and dislikes, but I really felt deceived by some of the reviews. I think we might have seen different movies.
