Based on true events, two notorious and provocative figures of modern Danish history, Spies and Glistrup, provide a radical view on liberty through money, sex and drugs.
Director Christoffer Boe, initially planned to make a movie about Simon Spies but during the initial research he learnt about the close friendship between Spies and Glistrup and subsequently decided to make a movie about the friendship.
The tennis scene where Simon is playing tennis with 3 girls is set to be in 1967, but the girls are wearing Nike tennis skirts. The Nike Swoosh was not a part of the Nike brand before 1971.
