Spoiled billionaire playboy Oliver Queen is missing and presumed dead when his yacht is lost at sea. He returns five years later a changed man, determined to clean up the city as a hooded vigilante armed with a bow.
In Arrow: Streets of Fire (2014), Detective Lance radios in to the police station saying Delta Charlie 52. An Easter egg referring to DC's Comic book series, The New 52.
My name is Oliver Queen. After five years in hell, I returned home with only one goal: to save my city. But my old approach wasn't enough. I had to become someone else. I had to become something else. I had to become the Green Arrow.
In the promotional picture for the series it shows a shirtless Oliver. The scars from his time on the island are visible, but there is no tattoo. During the series Oliver has a tattoo on his chest, a tattoo that plays an important role in at least one episode (1x03 "Lone Gunmen") and has been visible in every other episode.
The Warner Bros shield is colored green and behind it there are arrows flying.
