The character Roy Harper (Speedy) also appears as a main character in the animated show "Young Justice" that ran on Cartoon Network but was canceled after 2 seasons. Oliver attempted to call him Speedy, to which Roy objected. Thea later adopted the name of Speedy; Roy settled on the name "Arsenal".

In the promotional picture for the series it shows a shirtless Oliver. The scars from his time on the island are visible, but there is no tattoo. During the series Oliver has a tattoo on his chest, a tattoo that plays an important role in at least one episode (1x03 "Lone Gunmen") and has been visible in every other episode.
The DC Comics logo is colored green and features a comic-book image of Green Arrow.
