"The Cub" is a 5-minute live action short film from 3 years ago that was nominated at Sundance Film Festival. The writer and director is Riley Stearns and I am not familiar with any of the 4 actors in here. A family brings her daughter to a gang of wolves telling them to raise her. 10 years later they return to get her back. The male protagonist's dry and sterile talking and acting works well here, but the ending is everything but that as things have changed considerably over these 10 years. A touch of Jungle Book and a touch of mystery/horror make this one a rewarding watch. Nothing too great,, but definitely worth spending 5 minutes on and the final twist definitely elevates the material. I recommend "The Cub". Thumbs up.

    Sure
I get the commentary, but this s**t is stale as hell.

Can't believe I stopped watching Pixar shorts to watch this.
