We meet Jesse and Celine nine years on in Greece. Almost two decades have passed since their first meeting on that train bound for Vienna.
Although the movie features naturalistic dialogue, every scene was heavily rehearsed, rigidly followed the script and involved no improvisation.
Like sunlight, sunset, we appear, we disappear. We are so important to some, but we are just passing through.
Outside the terminal, Jesse meets up with Céline and the two get in their car with all of their windows rolled down. In the next shot, they're rolled up.
