Dokkoida is a 12 episode comedy/action anime series that takes place in Japan. The hero is a timid young man named Suzuo who is chosen at random by an alien girl, who looks like a 10 year old, named Tanpopo to become a superhero. He will do this with the help of a special suit that Tanpopo gives him which is made by an alien corporation which hopes to sell it to the intergalactic government. He accepts the job but unknown to him the galactic military sends 3 fiendish villains to challenge him to see if the suit will measure up. They include a mad scientist with a dirty mind, a buxom S&M mistress who whips her man slave until he transforms into an animal, and a girl who can make clay turn into monsters. Competing with Suzuo is Nerloid Girl, an attractive young beer chugging woman who is trialling a suit built by a competitor. They all end up, somehow, living in the same apartment building and don't, somehow, recognize each other when they are out of uniform. The series has some good episodes and plenty of laughs. However it does have some questionable morals like showing the man-slave being whipped and beaten. There is also an episode where the characters think that there is a sexual relationship between Suzuo and the child alien Tanpopo resulting in the child villain wanting to have sex with him as well. Unfortunately this type of pedophilia rears it's ugly head periodically in manga and anime. So not a show for kids.
