    Good!
At first I thought this was just another "ride the hype" after The Avengers production but gladly I was mistaken. The story is tight and the runtime 12 min, but I learned today that short is not always a bad thing.

The effects are cool and rates high, the acting is really good and the diversity between the persona's of the actors works in harmony. What can I say except it made my cup of coffee in the morning taste a lot better.

The only problem is how to fill 10 lines of review of a short very good movie, when there literally ain't nothing to complain about.

This is a nice bonus to the film The Avengers (2012). It shows a couple—Claire and Benny— robbing banks with a piece of alien technology that they've recovered from the NewYork battle site. Eventually we see them in a motel room with a load of money. Their neighbor stars playing music really loud. Benny goes out to investigate, but doesn't return…

I actually thought it was a preview for a new Marvel film and got quite excited by the idea. My hopes were shot down when I found it was just a short video. Alas, there's nothing else to do than wait for The Avengers 2.

It has some clever moments and is really worth a viewing.
  • Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Bradford play a young couple who shortly after the attack on New York (Avengers 2012) come across an alien weapon. They proceed to use this to rob banks but Shield is on their tale.

Featuring a couple of semi-recurring characters from the television series Agents Of Shield (2013) this well cast little 8 minutes is fun enough but you need to go in remembering these things aren't exactly stories.

They are more like scenes ripped out of films, thankfully usually pretty passable ones.

The fact this fits in so well with the Marvel universes continuity really helps as does Caplan, Bradford and the two Shield agents.

Passable stuff that can be used as filler inbetween actual feature films.

    The Good:

    Great soundtrack

    Lizzy Caplan

    Agents Of Shield cast members

    The Bad:

    Really not much to it

Things I Learnt From This Movie:

An assistant who cannot make coffee should be fired on the spot

After last seeing Caplan in True Blood I almost didn't recognise her clothed

Item 47 is a ten minute short from Marvel Films bundled with the Blu-ray of the Avengers movie. It tells of a couple (Claire, played by Lizzie Caplan, and Ben, played by Jesse Bradford) who recover a Chitauri weapon after the New York battle which closed the Avengers movie, manage to reactivate it, and then use it to commit bank robberies.

Ten minutes proves quite enough to set up the situation, provide some development (with decent effects) and a good payoff. This is not a major piece of work, but it is a decent little addition to the Avengers movie mythology. It would not surprise me at all to see Claire and Ben pop up in subsequent Marvel universe movies.
  • This quick clip after the Avengers is actually kind of interesting. It is short so not a lot of stuff is happening but it actually is when you think about it.

The new characters in Claire, Ben and Agent Blake are interesting enough but I am glad the Sitwell was able to sort of prove that he is a capable physical agent.

Lizzy Caplan and Titus Welliver are a joy on any screen and they hope they can make an appearance.

What really makes this interesting to me is that there are people in the world, using alien technology for their own benefit. This is most likely happening a lot around the world and due to this, Damage Control , an entity created to literally clean up messes, can be introduced.

+ Caplan and Welliver + Sitwell does more + People get alien technology could be a problem in the future + Damage Control? - Not long enough

    7.8/10

In the aftermath of the battle of New York, Claire Weiss (Lizzy Caplan) and Bennie Pollock (Jesse Bradford) find an alien weapon and use it to rob banks. Agent Jasper Sitwell is assigned to recover it. The only disappointment comes from the fact that Lizzy Caplan never continued in the MCU. She would be hilarious while still being a compelling actress. This is a solid short.
  • Saw it. Liked it. So, this short got everything you can think of - effects, characters, action + charisma. The intro was quite lame, but then things started to fire up. It was pretty good. Plus, the final replica is quite funny. I let you find which it is. :)

    9/10!
A really intriguing Marvel one-shot! Interesting plot!
  • Warning: Spoilers
This 11-minute short films is a decent little spin off from 2012's highest grossing movie, The Avengers. It's by no means bad or great, but tells us a nice little side-story about a couple (I thought the guy looked pretty similar to Colin Farrell) robbing banks with an incredibly fancy shotgun.

The two don't seem really evil or sinister, just disappointed one time too many and consequently drifted into crime. The agent at the hunt for the gun manages to confront the couple at a hotel, tricks them with the help of some noisy bass music and finally arrests the two after a short shootout. However, he seems to share my interpretation of Marvel's Bonnie and Clyde motivations, so he shows some heart, gets them decent clothing and employs the two as government agents. There's more of these one-shot short films and watching them makes a good enough way of bridging the time gap till the next superhero from the Avengers bunch lands in our cinemas.

If you find an Alien gun thats fallen from the sky, what do you do? Hand it in? Sell it? Learn to use it and be a Superhero? Well, if you are a Hollywood cliché good looking American couple then you figure out how to get the gun working (though no one on the planet has been able to do to highlight how clever this good looking chap is), and then go on an Armed Robbery & Killing spree for easy cash.

SO what happens when you are finally captured for multiple armed robberies, murders, assault with a deadly weapon, attempted murder of a S.H.I.E.L.D Agent, wanton destruction and bad acting? A job with S.H.I.E.L.D of course! If these two characters end up being The Wasp and a Henry Pym stand in (with as much effort on this script as the script for the sequel) then I have a feeling that the Avengers may shape up to be as good as Iron Man II.

In other-words a monstrosity for anyone with half a brain and a love of the Comics.
  • As my title says, this is so much fun and I totally loved it. Especially Lizzy Caplan as Claire Weiss. She brings SO much to whatever she is in. She took this itty-bitty part and proved there are no small parts. This short shows us a bit about what happened after the events of "Avengers." It's nice to have an example of the normal people after these events!
  • Two regular people, adorably out of their league, put to use a Chitauri rifle to achieve the American dream.

This is the kind of thing that basically must happen every so often in the MCU. There's no way the massive bombastic climaxes can always be cleaned up. This has amazing use of licensed music. Everyone gives a memorable performance, in addition to being written in a way that feels very natural. The tension and action are great. Running time is 8 minutes, or 11 and a half including end credits.

This is currently available on Disney Plus. I recommend it to fans of the franchise. 7/10.

About: Couple normies robbing a bank in a busy NYC at daylight with a Chituri weapon. They were like Drax. They were invisible.

    Soundtrack: it's cool

Story: Yawn... You want to make it a challenge for me?

Production: I like how it connects to the devastation of NYC. It's just a mini short film. Nothing to really hate per say.

    Highlight: N/A

    Main intelligence: 3

Should you watch?: Sure. But it's not a must-see for the MCU. I've watched it in the past, and it didn't have any effect on me.
  • *) K Reviews *) ( ( It has no relationship with the MCU but is light hearted and fun to watch. From the story point of view you can skip it but from the entertainment point of view then you should watch it.

This is a 12 minute short film that center around after the events of The Avengers as Agent Blake (Titus Welliver) orders Jasper Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernández) to look for the Chitauri weapon which unfortunately gets into the hands of a young couple Claire (Lizzy Caplan) and Benjamin 'Beenie' Pollock (Jesse Bradford) who use the weapon to rob a bank.

Now for a short film they did make it interesting for the Blu Ray release of the Avengers which is how you can watch this film. The film has some good effects and the setting gives us the film of being in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And it does feature a good plot of course it has a mid credit scene as Marvel films are known form. The acting here works well for it plot with some comedy added to the film

Someone in the music department has a good taste in music since it features "Just what I needed" by The Cars which helps for the film's climax.

Overall Marvel One-Shot:Item 47 does make for a interesting bonus film you get on the Blue Ray Copy of The Avengers and it shouldn't be a disappointment if you're a Marvel fan.

    I give Marvel One-Shot:Item 47 an 7 out of 10
  • Warning: Spoilers
The ninth entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Item 47 is a funny little One-Shot that makes the Marvel Cinematic Universe feel more realistic. It shows how ordinary people thrown into a world where magic and aliens are suddenly real will "make best" with what they have. The cast, as always, is perfect with a funny storyline and good special effects. The "Agent Coulson" line did feel extremely forces though, just trying to play with the audiences emotions, and it just simply doesn't work very well. Also the fact that the agent was simply able to add the criminals to SHIELD, seemingly without anyone's approval, seems a little strange. Also the fact that some random man was able to turn the alien technology on but SHIELD, full of brilliant scientists, was unable to seems unrealistic.

Item: 47 is the worst One-Shot. It's somewhat random. Random people find this gun and rob banks with it? Everything seems weird and out of place. It's nice to watch but definitely not good.

What a tease. They show us a small story with Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Bradford. I really wish they would have brought Lizzy Caplan into the MCU universe. She is a very talented and amazing actress that could have totally rocked a part.

The story was short, but fun. It was nice to see more of Agent Jasper Sitwell in action. He has a very different style than Colsoun. But he's still fun. He seems to be in most of the One-Shot's.

I liked the story. It was short, but still told something and gave a glimpse at alien technology and how it looks in civilians hands. It was funny and definitely went in a different direction then I thought it was going to go in. I'd totally watch a full movie about Claire and Bennie (bonnie and clyde) if they would have made one.
  • As the follow up and spin-off of The Avengers, Item 47 helped to solidify the spin-off series, Agents of S. H. I. E. L. D.

I felt outrageous that Lizzy Caplan's talent wasted on a 12 minute short. She would've been a great addition to the mainstream MCU films.
  • Warning: Spoilers
This is what the Marvel One-Shots were made for. After the big exploits of the Avengers, we get a street level view of the average person and how they react to the crazy events of this universe. For these characters, they're opportunists who use the alien weapons to rob banks all over the country. Eventually, SHIELD gets the better of them (they always do) and they end up as glorified coffee makers. It's a neat little window into a side of the MCU that we don't see often.

    Sigh
    Warning: Spoilers
More marvel die hard fans bait. It really wasn't that interesting. It feels like they could have done a plot so much more better if they had more time. At least it introduced us to that other S. H. I. E. L. D. Member for the next Captain America movie.
  • While the previous Marvel One-Shots focused on fast & quick explorations of the universe, Item 47 takes its time and allows for more storytelling. Following Agent Jasper Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernández), he is tasked with retrieving a Chitauri weapon from some bank robbers. Robbing banks on their journey down the East Coast, Claire Weiss & Bennie Pollock act as a modern Bonnie & Clyde, albeit less organized or professional. While their antics are entertaining in a slapstick manner, the short focuses on comedy and fails to provide much outside of that. The Marvel One-Shots are a wonderful idea, but so far they have been heavily underutilized and fail to expand the universe in any meaningful way.
