  • Marc Dorcel pumps out quality Euro porn, generally sporting excellent production values and beautiful gals. However when he strays down-market into all-sex videos like BLOUSES he hurts his brand, for which the story features are important (despite the contemporary trend towards gonzo).

Roger Corman produced a series of nurse-themed soft porn films in the early '70s, made by talented directors (Jonathan Kaplan for example), that I greatly enjoyed at the drive-in. Then Bob Chinn directed the XXX classic CANDY STRIPERS, perhaps the only classy couples film in history to feature fisting among its sexual elements.

Dorcel's house director Herve Bodilis, using the name Exopium to hide behind, has made several of these nursing around videos, of which BLOUSES is typical. Title indicates the femmes will be wearing their white uniforms and black lingerie/hose underneath, and that's about it for content. Star Tarra White speaks a bit in English at the opening, but then it's just 5 overlong segments that are nearly identical.

Gimmick is a first-person POV camera approach, with gals eying the camera & viewer directly. All segments are heavy on the tease (which is fine), then either having the nurses service a patient or doctor, or merely pose for the camera or have a lesbian tryst. One is reminded of the classic Japanese animated short LEWD CONSULTATION ROOM, which set a very high standard for this particular fetish.

Bodilis is so uninterested in content that one segment here is identical even to the pointless prop (feeding red jello to a patient) also used in his 7 HUNGRY NURSES opus, also starring Tarra White. She is always appealing and Colette steals the show in the finale, delivering a d.p. For those new to the Dorcel world, sometimes the video plays like a safe sex PSA, since the French auteur's idea of "bonus material" on the DVD is well-made cautionary spots to remind us of the danger of contracting HIV/AiDS from unprotected sex, and the well-hung guys always wear condoms during the feature itself. Claustrophobic exam room setting is a big minus.
