What the heck did I just watched? Im' surprised nobody else reviewed this piece of garbage yet. I was at least expecting a couple fake reviews praising this movie to heaven, like we're normally used to on IMDb when it's about a monstrosity like Little Saigon. I'm surprised nobody from the Vietnamese community got paid to write about it, maybe they were to ashamed about it, that would make sense. It's been awhile since I witnessed such bad acting. 99% of the cast never acted before, my guess is that the producer went to a nail salon, listened to this called "true story" and decided to make a movie about it so he could get lucky with maybe one of the staff girls there. Maybe he promised them all a role in his movie, I can't see another explanation. The story is so dumb it's almost impossible this really happened. The movie is also categorized as a comedy, which it isn't, unless you find like me the awful acting hilarious. The cinematography is also awful, shaky camerawork, the sound edition is almost inexistant, it looks like it's all done by the cleaning guy from the nail salon. Little Saigon goes straight in my list of monstrosities to avoid at all costs.

aartoon16 September 2020My brother was bugging me to watch this and I didn't for awhile because we usually don't have the same taste, but I have to admit I enjoyed it. My girlfriend is Vietnamese and she liked it too. It's funny and clever. It's a different kind of story that works. I give it a solid 7.
