  • I will admit: this show does a better two characters concept show than some others like Fanboy and Chum Chum, Sanjay and Craig, or Breadwinners. However, the show did have a few problems regardless like some unlikeable characters or episodes. I remember liking this show at 9 years old, and I loved a lot of the episodes. Looking back though, I wasn't that entertained now than I was as a kid. I was laughing more than other nicktoons from early 2010s, but I think the show was just too simple. That's not a bad thing, but it's pretty standard in what it does. I like the main characters and they can get a few laughs out of me. There are some mixed episodes, but I did like looking back.

Overall, the show is okay. It hasn't aged a lot since it's just a simple show, but there is some laughs in places. It's miles better than other shows like Breadwinners and Planet Sheen, but it's a bit generic and simple looking back. I wouldn't mind going back to this show once in a while though.
  • I remember viewing "Robot and Monster" when I was eight or nine when it came on NickToons. If this is available on streaming services (y'know Hulu or Netflix), then I'll re-watch it and give it a proper review.

Disney, Hillenburg, Tartakovsky, Hirsch. They all weep that they will never reach the unadulterated pure perfection that is Robot and Monster. I personally find the concept of a purple blob with horns mistaking dynamite for bacon, eating it, and then promptly exploding and taking his workplace with him to be the most comical thing that can be possibly conceived. Its intriguing that they all live in this ethnostate made up of only monsters and robots and how their police force has the illuminati on their badges, I was looking forward to the big twist finale where the titular characters who are both named after their respective races slowly uncover the cult thats running their industrialized, mundane town that forces everyone to do useless tasks such as mass producing blinking lights, and they eventually leave and climb over a wall or something and find the rest of the world but I guess this show's creators who's names are not m night shyamalan thought It would be more entertaining to have Ogo, the show's local schizoid/gigachad get brutally murdered by venomous sharks multiple times.

Marf is by far the best character with the most interesting arc, I wish they could finish the show before he eventually became the main villain, as it was teased he wanted to usurp his owners and would quite possibly become the catalyst for the aforementioned cult reveal and subsequent escape. I for whatever reason thought this small show was the best thing ever when I was like 9 and even now some of these jokes are too highbrow for the smooth brains but it's certainly an odd little show that lasted for a few years then vanished, where it got no merchandise and has a dvd copy that's more or less lost media with copies going on sale for over 100 dollars on ebay once in a blue moon. It was far better than the other random garbage Nicktoons that were pumped out at the time, but still just had nothing really happening for the entire show, I like watching Robot make a thermonuclear bomb to help them eat bacon faster as much as the next guy, but the show never really gets any deeper than that.

I am straight-up ogomaxxing right now.

Marf. (by the way there totally isnt a marf subreddit guys I swear)
  • After fan-boy and chum-chum, many nick fans honestly thought that channel couldn't go anymore downhill. They were wrong. Because this show is much worse. Ugly animation and voice acting, terrible music, annoying jokes. The world around main characters is also very poorly developed. All of it's "humor" is based upon primitive insults, beatings, and psychological blows to the protagonists. In general, this show is completely senseless and Moronic.

My head hurts when I even think about it. Current rating about this show is lame and pure manipulation. I presume creators and their stuff, massively voted to give additional rating to this show on IMDb. It's a mystery to me as to how this show lasted longer than a year.

Really I can't understand why Nickelodeon have canceled Jimmy Neutron or Arnold, and buys instead, several seasons of Rocket Monkeys, Fanboy & Chum Chum. Such shows is a sing of cultural apocalypse of the Western World.

As I see, Nickelodeon staff completely lost it's sanity. Nick losing not only millions on such lame shows, but also its ratings.
  • Thought this was a cartoon that would interest my kids' (6 & 2) so I switched it on. Wasn't really paying attention, but I heard a voice and was like, "Hey, that's Booger Pressley/'He's skiing on one ski!'." And then I heard another voice and was like, "Holy Crap, that's Harland (Williams, whose stand up is ridiculously funny - do yourself a favor & check it out!)!"

So then I started paying attention, and the plot was funny, stuff that adults would laugh at (but not crude stuff, intellectual stuff). Been a huge fan of Curtis Armstrong from Revenge of the Nerds, Better Off Dead & Moonlighting - he is seriously incomparable, and his voice and intonation is priceless. Also a big fan of Harland Williams from Half Baked and his stand up - saw him live many years ago and bought a CD it was so funny - I don't laugh at a lot of comedians, but he had me crying. Harland's voice is also one of a kind, and he and Curtis give the Robot & Monster characters such awesome personality.

Whoever did the voice casting is a genius, and the writers are pretty clever too. Hope that this gets more episodes! There is seriously SO MUCH UTTER GARBAGE KIDS' TV ON, even on Disney & Nick (makes me wish I went into TV production!) - it is such a relief to see some funny, well-developed content that both kids & parents can enjoy. MORE PLEASE!

This. Is. The. Best. Show. EVER!!!!!!!!!!! I am totally addicted and sad that there hasn't been a rain of merchandising! I want a stuffed Monster! The theme song is catchy, the lines are hilarious, and my favorite characters are Robot, Gart, Monster, Nessie, and definitely Ogo! The only truly annoying character is Robot's little sister. And JD's voice is also kind of screechy and annoying. The story lines are ingenious..I mean come on, a story about two roommates who work at a blinking light factory and eat nothing but bacon?! Please please continue this story for many many seasons. It is right up there with SpongeBob in my opinion!
  • I actually love this show, to be honest. My all-time favorite episode was where Monster decides to become an escape artist, then he ended up pranking Robot. And I agreed with the episode that said Karma doesn't exist, no matter how much me and my brother get punished, karma still doesn't exist (I get punished for stupid reasons, like blowing up a crappy treehouse, or writing something I hate sucked "Monkey balls" on a chalkboard because I was dared to, that's why I never believed in karma, believing in karma's just plain ol' stupid, folks). And this show doesn't have anything repulsive, Marf's poop is just many metal rocks, ha, that's not repulsive to me, it's not boring, it's funny (Like how Robot and Monster tried to be romantic). Sure some episodes were stupid, but they were stupid in a funny fashion.

So who cares if this show gets rated 8/10 or maybe 8.6/10 on IMDb? It almost happened, you know how this show had 7.6/10 as its highest? Who the f**k made it fall to 7.3/10?! Lemme guess, RATING SPAMS?! And Uncle Grandpa was never spammed (Notice how it has 8.6/10 from girls under 18 and an IMDb staff member gave it a 9/10). It actually had 5.1/10 as its highest. Many people I know like it, so the rating for that jumping from 3.9/10 to 5.1/10 CAN'T be from rating spams. Same for this. The reason why this raised from 5.9/10 to 7.6/10 also CAN'T be from rating spams (Again, look at the user reports. Girls under 18 gave this a full 10/10, while girls all ages gave this 8.9/10). No matter how much haters each show can have, there are still people who like or love it. Think why Marvin Marvin has 324 10/10s (It would've been 325 10/10s if my sister didn't punish me just for blowing up a hater's treehouse with 9 other teens. That punishment, my friend, was stupid to the max). And y'know how Fred's internet show got 8.9/10 from females under 18? See, no matter how much haters a show has, there's still people that like it, and the user reports can show more evidence if the shows were spammed or not.
  • Warning: Spoilers
I was watching TV with my little sister and Robot and Monster suddenly came on. I admittedly thought what most people seem to think of this show.It looked incredibly stupid and uninteresting, like Fanboy and Chumchum. The theme song segment did not really help improve that opinion. But I gave it the benefit of the doubt, and... I'm glad I did. Unlike Fanboy and Chumchum, the concept is strangely relatable... It's about a monster named... Monster... and a robot named... Robot... Okay, the nomenclature of the main characters isn't that impressive, but their three dimensionality certainly makes up for it. The characters are both likable for their own reasons, and both have strangely complex back-stories considering the fact they were created for children's TV. From viewing the theme song segment, or the trailer one would likely assume that this show is like Purple and Brown, or Fanboy and Chumchum. Well, it's actually very much a snapshot of adult life. Robot and Monster go to work, hang out with friends, get speeding tickets, try to reconcile differences with their families, pay the rent, and hilarity ensues. Robot and Monster makes this work with some very funny slapstick humor, nice running gags, interesting characters that all have their own funny attributes, and the most creative atmosphere I've seen in a kids show in a long time. The animation also looks very nice, and the voice actors were clearly having fun with their roles. As someone who's grown up with Nick since the days of Rugrats and early Spongebob, I had long given up hope for good Nick shows after Victorious, Purple and Brown, iCarly, Mr. Meaty, Planet Sheen (Shudders...), Glen Martin DDS., etc... But Robot and Monster strangely surprised me. My brother, who is only a few years younger than me, likes this show as much as I do. It's by no means a masterpiece, but a pleasant surprise nonetheless. One of the best new shows in Nick in years, and well deserving of an 8/10 rating.
  • This show is really good, I have to say I it gets rewened, although I that that this and Brickleberry would beat Sidekick into a pulp? This should be like g or something cause this show is not inappropriate at all, thought maybe that Nelvanda should make show like this for YTV and Cartoon Network, this show looks likes as if it's for people all around the world even Canadians, I mean a lot of kids watch Nick and I like how Robot and Monster outwit there issues I like Gart he's a cool character and the titled duo themselves, the best episode is the one when Robot goes to court and has do silly orders, and I also like Robot goes to Gart's party with his cousin, I Lol'd at that because they deserved that and when Gart made Robot the boss of his job. Sidekick should throw in the towel and have this and Brickleberry get rewened for 3 more seasons.

I remember watching this show and loving it. The concepts was just so creative. Bacon?! Didn't expect that and it's a cute little trope.

Robot And Monster was a great show from 2012 i find the theme song of this show to be catchy and awesome, two friends a robot and a monster that love to eat bacon but the only character I hate from this show is Gart because he is so unlikable and mean spirited towards robot.
