Love or hate Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., there's no denying that the show introduced many great characters. Chloe Bennet's Quake was among them, and while her journey from being Skye to Daisy Johnson was pretty convoluted, she's someone fans would love to see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Rumours about a potential return have swirled for years, with Bennet both teasing and denying her involvement with the MCU on multiple occasions.
Today, scooper @MyTimeToShineH brings word that Bennet is "coming back" as the character. With it looking increasingly more likely that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. took place in an alternate reality not unlike Earth-616, it's possible the group could be part of the Multiversal Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Beyond that, the comic book Quake has ties to teams like the Secret Warriors and even The Avengers, so who knows how she'll be utilised by Marvel Studios if and when this supposed return happens.

It was in 2011 when the world was introduced to Hayley Atwell in the iconic role of Agent Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger. Fans loved her (alongside Steve Rogers) but found very little time with her when Steve Rogers dived headfirst into an icy plunge.
However, with the cryo-sleep of Steve Rogers, Peggy Carter’s story did not end. Quite the contrary, Atwell reprised her role in a 15-minute film titled Agent Carter and a subsequent series of the same name in 2015.
What went wrong with Marvel’s Agent Carter?
Don’t get me wrong. Marvel’s Agent Carter was one of the finest television shows that the world had ever seen (alongside Daredevil) when it was airing in 2015. However, there was a pretty big blunder that the MCU made.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was not a good show, according to fans who were in the first season back in 2013. The show, which essentially kicked off the MCU shows, didn’t have any proper backing from the main heroes within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It was just Agent Phil Coulson leading a team of highly-intelligent people to espionage and potentially destroy enemies within and outside the state. It was only later on that the show found its due fame, and it all happened because the MCU stopped forcing cameos in the iconic show.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was its own show within the MCU
Of course, any Marvel show without one of the superheroes being the lead character was unheard of. Yet in 2013, a spin-off was created starring Clark Gregg’s Phil Coulson in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

We recently got confirmation that a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot/sequel series is moving forward at Hulu, and the project has found its new Slayer in 15-year-old Star Wars: Skeleton Crew breakout Ryan Kiera Armstrong.
Sarah Michelle Gellar, who will return as Buffy Summers in a supporting role to mentor the next "Chosen One," surprised the young actress with a call to inform her that she'd landed the part.
"I know this process has been hard," Gellar prefaced in the clip, before asking Armstrong, "How do you feel about helping me save the world? You wanna be my chosen one?"
"I knew there was only one girl that I wanted by my side," Gellar added. "To have that kind of emotional intelligence, and talent, at such a young age is truly a gift. The bonus is that her smile lights up even the darkest room."

For a show that started it all for the MCU on the small screen, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn’t get nearly enough credit. Although it was far from perfect, and did end up becoming its own thing by the backend of its run, it did amass a passionate fanbase during its seven-season run, but has been rarely acknowledged in the mainline universe.
But with the multiverse and time travel a thing in the MCU, like Clark Gregg, Elizabeth Henstridge has expressed a desire to return to her Marvel roots alongside Scarlett Johansson.

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer legacy sequel series is coming together a lot faster than expected. Indeed, Deadline is reporting that Ryan Kierra Armstrong has landed the coveted role of the new Slayer opposite returning star Sarah Michelle Gellar. The fifteen-year-old Armstrong, despite her young age, is already a Hollywood vet, having played the title role in the Stephen King adaptation, Firestarter, in addition to one of the leads in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew on Disney+.
To note, Armstrong is much younger than Gellar was when she started playing the role back in 1997, which makes me think this reboot is going for a somewhat more realistic depiction of teenage life. Back in the nineties, it was commonplace for adult actors to play teen roles, with the practice still in effect in shows like Euphoria. However, other shows like Stranger Things started the practice of casting age-appropriate actors, to great effect,...

Jamie Neumann is on the campaign trail in the new Collider-exclusive trailer for the political drama Thirsty. Kyra Sedgwick, Sung Kang, and Thora Birch also star in the film, which follows a long-shot candidate as she runs for mayor of Oakland, California. The movie will be released by Gravitas Ventures digitally and on demand on June 6. In the trailer, Neumann stars as Audrey Allen, an upstart attorney waging a campaign to unseat the incumbent mayor of Oakland (Brandee Evans).
She attracts the attention of Anne (Sedgwick), a powerful political operative, who assigns her a campaign manager who can't stand her (Briana Venskus-Vazquez) and a field manager (Tyler Lepley) with whom Audrey has some unresolved history, unbeknownst to anyone else. Audrey is running for admirable reasons, but as the campaign goes on, it begins to drive a wedge into their marriage. And complicating matters further is Audrey's troubled sister (Birch...

Ming-Na Wen is known for many visual media representations, especially with Mulan, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and The Mandalorian. However, there is one more role that might interest the gamer folks. It turns out she did play a role in Final Fantasy. But how did that go unnoticed for so long? Well, it wasn’t for a game.
Still guessing? It’s Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, a movie that was released back in 2001. Pretty darn old, huh? It’s not because people don’t know about it, because it’s old. It just hasn’t seen the surface due to bad ratings. As a matter of fact, old classics seem to do well even if they age, like Back to the Future, The Wizard of Oz, and more. This one didn’t hit the mark.

Several months after The Avengers was released in 2012, we learned that a small-screen spin-off, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., would follow. The news generated a huge amount of excitement among fans, but the series wasn't quite what we expected.
As time passed, the series developed a loyal fan base but became increasingly far removed from what was happening in theaters. The same could be said for Marvel Television's Netflix and Hulu shows, and we'd later learn that "Marvel Television" was Ike Perlmutter's way of controlling at least one Marvel Universe after Kevin Feige wrestled Marvel Studios and the MCU away from him.
The budgets were low, connectivity to the MCU was minimal, and the quality of storytelling was incredibly hit-or-miss. Marvel Television did deliver some good moments and characters, but also made more than a few terrible decisions that hurt the brand as a whole.

Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter quickly became a fan favourite after appearing in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger, and Marvel Studios was understandably eager to bring the British actor back into the fold.
That started with a fun "One-Shot" short and after a cameo in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel Television launched the Agent Carter TV series (the only one of that studio's shows Marvel Studios executives were actively involved with).
Years later, Peggy was made the face of Marvel Animation's What If...? as a Variant of the character who took the Super Soldier Serum and became "Captain Carter." She similarly struck a chord with fans, so her live-action debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was cause for celebration. Until it wasn't.

Yeah, she was in the MCU before Simu Liu even picked up Shang-Chi’s costume for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Fans may not know her ethnicity, but iconic actress Chloe Bennet is of Asian descent.
People forgot about her after Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. concluded with a finale in 2020, and it’s a shame that no one really remembers that Bennet was the first Asian superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe long before Liu’s Shang-Chi! However, when asked about it, Bennet revealed that she doesn’t really care for it.
Being Asian isn’t a “trend” for Chloe Bennet
There was a time when Asian actors and actresses faced discrimination in Hollywood. Although legends like Jackie Chan made a name for themselves, others like Michelle Yeoh had to fight for their awards and fame.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was the longest-running Marvel TV show that aired from 2013 to 2020. Before the Disney+ era’s arrival, the ABC show, centered around a spy agency in the superhero world, was a major player in Marvel’s TV department.
Although Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s continuity in the MCU is still subject to debate, the show featured a long list of cameos from the movies. Starting from Nick Fury to Lady Sif, many minor and major MCU movie characters could be spotted in the show. The list is so huge that even the recent Marvel movies and TV shows have not been able to break it yet.

After two seasons, NBC made the decision to lose Found. Among several cancellations at NBC like Night Court and Suits LA, unfortunately, the weekly procedural thriller also just didn’t make the cut, with NBC deciding the title will come to an end after its second season wraps in a few weeks. With just two episodes left and no heads-up given, it’s likely that the finale will leave audiences on a cliffhanger that will never get resolved. After a whirlwind season that has so far seen Gabi (Shanola Hampton) lose the upper hand on her ex-captor, Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), the cancellation will come as a punch in the gut to audiences who have been eager to follow the pair’s cat and mouse game.
First debuting in the fall of 2023, Found introduced viewers to a different kind of procedural. While many similar titles have followed the police as they work on cracking a case,...

Clark Gregg found worldwide fame and critical acclaim when he portrayed the role of Agent Phil Coulson in the 2012 film The Avengers. Although the actor had been portraying the role for a while in MCU movies, The Avengers gave him a platform to show his best.

Is "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? It was sold as such. It starred a revived Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), who had been an unexpected breakout character from "Iron Man" up through "The Avengers."
The first season was the most authentically connected. The series' "Marvel X-Files" approach got shattered by "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," which saw S.H.I.E.L.D. infiltrated and destroyed by Hydra. So, the show pivoted to its heroes going underground. The first season even managed to get Samuel L. Jackson to cameo as Nick Fury twice. But as "Agents of S.H.I.E.Ld." went on for ultimately seven seasons, the crossovers which Marvel fans had expected never came.
Coulson never reunited with the Avengers onscreen. "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." was never a priority for Marvel Studios because the show wasn't even produced by it. Rather, the series was backed by ABC Studios,...

For a show that started it all for the MCU on the small screen, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. often gets brushed under the rug when it comes to discussions surrounding Marvel TV hits. But even at the height of Marvel’s ever-expanding TV slate, the 2013 show still maintains a passionate fanbase, who are still hoping for its return in the age of the multiverse.
Although much of the show’s appeal at the start revolved around its correlation with the MCU and its characters, including Clark Gregg’s Coulson, it was Chloe Bennet who became a major fan favorite as the show progressed. Interestingly, the actress was taken off guard by the shift in her character after season 1, which marked a shift in the show’s ratings.

It's been a long road for Marvel's Thunderbolts* to cinemas as the Hollywood Writers' Strike severely impacted the film's production schedule.
As such, the extra time afforded extra time to polish the script, which saw three scribes apply their trade to the finished product: Eric Pearson, Lee Sung Jin (Beef), and Joanna Calo.
Along the way, various ideas and plot threads ended up being left on the cutting room floor, including Man-Thing, Baron Zemo, a larger role for Taskmaster, and US Agent turning into a Hulk-like monster.
It's also been revealed that with the screenplay first being worked on by Pearson in 2021, the Thunderbolts* were originally intended to have a tie-in to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
However, Jonathan Majors' legal trouble led to him being fired by Marvel in December 2023, and Marvel Studios ultimately pivoted to Doctor Doom and Robert Downey Jr.

Deadlineconfirms that The Lincoln Lawyer season 4 will bring back Elliott Gould as David “Legal” Siegel and Krista Warner as Hayley Haller. It is also reported that Emmanuelle Chriqui, Jason O’Mara, Javon Johnson, and Chef Nancy Silverton will be added in the upcoming season. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has, for the better part of its existence, been so mired in groundbreaking worldbuilding that it has reoriented and restructured the entire format of storytelling for major Hollywood franchises. Kevin Feige, the godfather of this new revisionist format, has reigned over the MCU with a keen eye for nearly 2 decades now, but with time comes change.

While chatting about her new gig The Salamander King, Palicki casually revealed shooting a full-blown Marvel spin-off as Mockingbird.
According to Adrianne Palicki, after being written out of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the third season, she apparently shot a whole spinoff show for Marvel. The actress mentioned, that her Marvel deal promised movie moments or a series of her own. So where is it? Well, the spinoff is now sitting in Marvel’s vault, collecting dust and broken promises.

While the MCU took its fair share of time to embrace the small screen canonically, for a prolonged period, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. filled that void for fans of the media behemoth on TV. Starring Clark Gregg in the lead, the show amassed a sizeable following throughout its seven-season run on TV.
Although it still bears a passionate fandom in the age of streaming, it wasn’t an instant hit by any means, as despite a strong premiere, it lost its spark with the latter episodes, until one key storyline was introduced.

How do you make something bigger than one of the biggest movies of all time? "By not trying to," Joss Whedon said in 2012 when asked how he could possibly top "The Avengers" with its inevitable sequel. "By being smaller. More personal, more painful. Marvel Comics has just confirmed that there is one character Iron Man believes is more than a match for Black Widow, as Tony Stark is forced to enlist the help of MCU character Melinda May to protect him, after Widow sets her sights on Tony, setting up a confrontation that will prove who truly is the better fighter of the two.
Iron Man #7, written by Spencer Ackerman, with art by Julius Ohta, finds Stark calling upon Melinda May, who initially debuted on the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series before being integrated into the Marvel Comics Universe, in a moment of desperation.
When she asks why he didn’t enlist Black Widow, Iron Man admits that his longtime Avengers teammate was his first call, but it turns out she may actually be the one he needs protection from in the immediate future.

Oftentimes, actors who appear in franchises like the MCU end up being known best for their respective roles, with the larger part of their career taking a backseat. This couldn’t be more true for Clark Gregg, who is known best for portraying Agent Phil Coulson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
However, apart from his run in the MCU, Gregg is not only a talented actor but also a brilliant director and screenwriter, who has starred, directed, and written several acclaimed works over his career. One of his best works to date is the film Choke, which he directed, featuring one Iron Man 2 star as a s*x addict.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s tie-in with the television shows that Marvel Studios has created over the years runs deeper than we had originally thought, and we have two examples in front of us.
It has been quite some time since fans have seen the faces of these two iconic characters, but they were quite important when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was airing on live television. Well, if the rumors are true, then we might just be celebrating the return of two veteran agents in the field who are needed in the MCU now more than ever!

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a certain way of doing things. From returning characters to merging two forces from two different universes by making a connection between them, the MCU does not leave loose ends ever.

Adrianne Palicki has some terrible superhero luck. Not only was the actor's Wonder Woman pilot shelved, she recently revealed that her Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. character, Bobbi Morse, was supposed to have appeared in other Marvel Cinematic Universe projects before those opportunities evaporated.
Speaking to The Direct, Palicki, whose S.H.I.E.L.D. character was known as Mockingbird in the comics, shared details about negotiations that preceded the ABC television series in 2014. "The conversation I had when I signed on actually to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was either I was going to be participating in the films or have a spin-off," the actor explained.

When Adrianne Palicki joined the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird, there was a lot of excitement among fans. The series had largely focused on original characters up until that point, so a legit superhero joining the crew was welcomed.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ended with season 7, and a planned spin-off led by Palicki and Nick Blood's Lance Hunter, Marvel's Most Wanted, shot a pilot while the series was on the air. However, it didn't receive the green light, and that was it for Mockingbird.
Taking to The Direct, Palicki confirmed that, when she signed up to play Mockingbird in 2014, she was promised the opportunity to bring the character to the big screen.

After the success of Daredevil: Born Again, everyone hopes that the Marvel Cinematic Universe will keep its momentum with the release of Thunderbolts*. The upcoming team-up movie will shine the spotlight on some of Marvel's most flawed characters, all of whom have done horrible things in their past. But while this team of misfits seems to be the perfect recipe for disaster, the movie's early reactions have been anything but.
Some are calling it Marvel's best movie in recent memory, others highlight its emotional story, and everyone praises Florence Pugh's performance. Oh, and there also appear to be some shocking post-credits scenes added to the mix as well.
Expectations couldn't be any higher heading into the Thunderbolts* premiere. But while Marvel has caught lightning in a bottle yet again with an unlikely team-up of "heroes", it seems the titular roster was set to be very different in the very early stages of development.

It might’ve taken seven years to get there, but finally, Charlie Cox has been able to continue his legacy as Daredevil in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Following the unceremonious cancellation of Netflix’s Daredevil series and the rest of the ‘Defenders’ shows, fans were left twiddling their thumbs and waiting for the rights to expire to see whether any of the old guard would leap into the MCU. Our prayers were answered when the Man Without Fear finally popped up in Spider-Man: No Way Home, with beefed-up appearances in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Echo. Although 2021’s Hawkeye sowed the seeds of a full Daredevil revival, we had to wait until March 2025 for Daredevil: Born Again to be born again.

Former Blade Star Delroy Lindo Says MCU Reboot "Went Off The Rails" And Teases His Now-Scrapped Role

Like Lanterns star Aaron Pierre, Delroy Lindo was cast in an earlier version of Blade before eventually departing the project amid a seemingly endless series of rewrites and creative team changes (the one constant has been Mahershala Ali's involvement).
We don't know who Lindo was set to play, though it was widely speculated that he'd been cast as Jamal Afari, the man who raised Blade and taught him everything he knows about hunting vampires.
The actor is no longer attached to the movie, and it's unclear whether he or the character will feature in a potential future iteration.
Talking to Entertainment Weekly about his role in Sinners, Lindo recalled, "When Marvel came to me, they seemed to be really interested in my input. And in the various conversations I had with producers, the writer, the director at the time, it was all leading into being very inclusive."

Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are reunited on-screen for the first time since October 2013 as Tony and Ziva in the first trailer for their new NCIS spinoff that has fans eagerly anticipating its arrival this Fall. The short teaser comes ahead of the full trailer for the 10-part international series, which will debut on May 5 after the finale of NCIS Season 22.
It was recently revealed that NCIS: Tony & Ziva will be set in an entirely different timeline from the original series. Instead of taking place in the present, the spin-off will step back into the last decade to help fill in some gaps for viewers. Long-term fans of NCIS will remember when Ziva was presumed dead, and Tony was left to care for their daughter, whom he was entirely unaware existed until that point. This series will document what happened when the pair were finally reunited several years ago.

And obviously, we're not goint to throw Fp off the second-tallest building in the world.'"

Jonathan Frakes has been forever associated with the franchise since his days as an actor on Star Trek: Tng. The star transitioned to a director during the series and continued this path through the films and other shows like Voyager, Deep Space Nine, Castle, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Strange New Worlds.
While Tng was a global sensation and is still the most popular series in the franchise, it was canceled prematurely after season 7. Despite no change in ratings and its popularity being consistent, the cast was not given an explanation at the time about the reason behind the cancellation. Frakes mentioned that Paramount did not give them a suitable reason at all.

Before the Disney+ streaming service became the home to a myriad of prestige Marvel projects, the studio's television division was primarily separate from what was happening in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). During the early days of the MCU and shortly after the massive success of Joss Whedon's 2012 ensemble The Avengers, one television show would help to kick-start the studio's small-screen presence: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., with Clark Gregg reprising his role from Phase One of the MCU as Agent Phil Coulson - despite the character's death in the MCU, but that's another story. Running seven seasons, the show developed its own dedicated fanbase. Now, one actor from the series has expressed interest in returning to franchise, and not for the first time.
In an interview with ScreenRant, actor Ming-Na Wen, who portrayed Agent Melinda May in the series, was asked whether she'd want to return to the role.

It’s hard to believe, but both Luther Sloan and Death are turning 75 years old. Well, truth be told, they may not be, but the man who played both is. The talented character actor William Sadler will celebrate his 75th birthday on April 13.
Sadler memorably portrayed the wily and secretive Section 31 operative Luther Sloan in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episodes “Inquisition,” “Inter Arma Emin Silent Leges,” and “Extreme Measures.” Section 31, of course, went on to also figure prominently in subsequent Star Trek productions, most recently the Michelle Yeoh vehicle, Star Trek: Section 31. Sloan died by suicide in “Extreme Measures,” which premiered on May 19, 1999, during DS9’s seventh and final season.
During an interview with StarTrek.com in 2010, that he likened Sloan to Oliver North, a soldier and National Security Council staffer who, in the 1980s, became embroiled in what is referred to as the Iran-Contra Affair. “(Sloan) does what needs to be done,...
