    Warning: Spoilers
Hannibal is doing exactly the opposite of what he was appointed for. Rather than helping Will he is trying to plunges him deeper and deeper into insanity.

Abigail Hobbs wakes up and is accused of accompanying her father in the butchering of the girls. It is believed she was the bait used for luring the girls to her psychopath father. The degree of the truth in this accusation is explored in this episode.

In my opinion Abigail turns out to be smarter than Graham or equally as smart as him and Hannibal. (spoiler) She is able to figure out Hannibal as the copycat killer and she can easily understand Will's Traumatic and emphatic disorders.(end of spoiler). I was very impressed by young Kacey's performance. Hannibal seems to be keen on proving Will wrong and rather break him. Anyways a nice story and I was glad NOT to see another serial killer introduced out of nowhere. More and more serial killer might throw Will too much into it. But it more or less degrades the purpose of the story. I want to see more of Will and Hannibal but not more killings and gore imagery. We have walking Dead for it.

    Direction: Good.

    Story/Screenplay: Fine, refined and strong.

Acting: Kacey is excellent, Dancy and Mads are good as always, others are average.

    Music: Great.

Overall a nice episode with Hannibal in action.

Unlike the first two episodes, this episode is much less police procedural and felt more drama-ish.

I don't understand why Alana is so adamant to ignoring the possibility that Abigail could be an accomplice to her father's crimes, though. Will, probably, feels guilt about killing her father and wants to step in as a surrogate father figure, but why does Alana not believe the girl is an accomplice, willing or unwilling.

As far as creepy imagery and gore, this episode is less in-your-face than the Mushroom episode. The scene where Marissa Schurr is found impaled and Abigail's nightmare at the beginning are probably the scariest parts. There's also a scene near the end of the episode where Abigail finds some of the parts of the girls her father butchered. Quite disturbing.

I would have liked to know a little more about Abigail's BFF, Marissa. She seemed kind of suspicious about Abigail's family. I guess, though, we'll never explore that storyline.

    Stay Scared!

So here we delve deeper into Abigail Hobbs backstory, and Graham's theory that a copycat killer was also killing alongside Hobbs ' father .

A whole lotta nutcase killers out there!!!!

So the very female Freddie Lounds, in this series anyway, really pushes Graham deeper into the realms of killers' minds with her 'reporting'.

+1 Star for the 'journalism' of Freddie Lounds.

Graham and Lecter and Dr. Bloom accompany Abigail Hobbs back the scene of her fathers crimes, looking for some sort of clues as to who might be the copycat killer.

I liked the hostility of the angry family member stalking down Abigail. That seems like something I would do.

    +1 Star for That.

All in All this episode advances the story but it's not a super episode. 7/10.

Marissa has been killed by the copycat. Abigail stabs Nicholas with a knife. Hannibal knocked down Alana. Nicholas died. Amazing Episode of Hannibal Season 1, brilliant Episode once again. Every episode it suprises me! Many death and blood and Mads Mikkelsen is just superb!

My Reaction / Review for Hannibal Season 1 Episode 3: Episode 2 was great and I gave it a rating of 8.5/10. So Lecter is Hobbs' copycat? Interesting. That reporter is so annoying and nosy. So the copycat strikes again? If it was Hannibal aka the copycat when did he do it? So Hobbs was feeding his victims to his family, that's so disturbing, Hannibal seems to like that though hehe. Abigail has lost everything. First she lost her parents and after that she lost her friend who was probably the only person who wanted to have any type of contact with her. And Abigail is officially a killer. So Lecter helped Abigail to hide the body? And also now Abigail knows Lecter's secret? Didnt see that coming. Overall a great episode, my rating is 8.3/10.
  • This was the episode that took some time to develop some of the things that were set up in the first episode, as well as making Hannibal a larger part of the story and a major key-player in how things will play out!

We really start to see just how smart he is.. lurcking right under their noses, playing his mind game and desciving those around him! Mads Mikkelsen really does a great job!

This episode was more centered on character and drama, giving us a couple of tense and memorable scenes! This is something this show is very good at! Small, tense, unsetling moments!

This show seems to only get more and more interesting!

This episode made me drop the show. Not once or twice, three times someone is beyond the police line during the second to final scene at abigails house just so the drama can happen. Shame, the show almost had me hooked but i cant stand fake drama.
