Jo Koy: Lights Out

7/10

Wholehearted entertainment and lots of laughs...

This is the second show from Jo Koy that I had the chance to sit down and watch. And let me just tell you that my expectations were high.

And it was every bit as fun as the "Live from Seattle" show. So Jo Koy definitely rose to the occasion and lived up to my expectations.

Jo Koy really has a lot of good material with great jokes punchlines and deliveries with great precision.

And his Filipina impersonations are spot on, which is such a blast to watch on the screen and listen to as well. This is one of his strong sides, because he has it spot on.

If you enjoy stand-up comedy, then "Jo Koy: Lights Out" is definitely well worth checking out, regardless of if you are familiar with Jo Koy as a stand-up comedian or not.

Funny Filipino.

I didn't know Jo Koy before watching this show so I had no particular expectations whatsoever, just hoping to discover another great stand-up comedian and having a good time. Since Netflix there's an abundance of stand-up comedies, to my great pleasure. Nothing better than an hour of easy entertainment and good laughs. That's if the show is good which in this case it was. Jo Koy has a good stage presence, good mimicing, facial expressions and impersonations, but most importantly jokes that work. The jokes aren't too offensive or sarcastic, it's the kind of humor almost everybody will enjoy. He's a good storyteller that gets and holds your attention, easy to listen to, and his jokes will bring a smile on your face.
