  • Man this series just feels a bit nostaligc.... of a time when kid's series had more simple yet enterteining humor.... quality acting and execution (FOR THE MOST PART! but yeah there are a few pretty bad extras and episodes...) poor wiriting the series is basically a mess but i guess..... it's targeted at kids idk

i might not be the best to rate this but yeah just try it don't let the underration effect you'r judgment watch a few episodes and yes obviously many episodes are much much better and many much wores if i remeber right the srat's a bit boring but there's a bit of a character development and gets more interesting with time yeah yeah ups and down but do try firest because in my opinion the series desrves at least a 6-7 not 5 as it is right now... (but do take a look that the ratings are strongly polarized meaning many rated 10 and many 1 so... u know)
  • it is not a good or bad sitcom. it is only almost forced job, childish in few episodes, unconvincing in others, fake in some. but the good intentions, the subject, the acting are interesting pillars of a series who has as only basic sin the absence of clear direction. the family's problems, the children, the teenagers, the people from show's world, the errors, the confusions, the jokes, the run to success are pieces of a too large puzzle who could represent an abstract painting. a new build with old bricks from another series in chaotic order. that is all. one of comedies who are only expression of high and noble good intentions. nice but far to be seductive. that is See Dad Run for me.

    1/10
    Lame
Typical characters (Dad who doesn't know how to take care of his kids, mom who doesn't trust dad to take care of kids, bratty teenage daughter, cute little sister, weird brother) The episodes are so predictable. You know exactly what's going to happen at the end. The characters do stupid things. There are lame jokes that have been used millions of times on other shows. I have seen many episodes of this show, and I've never laughed once while watching this show. Overall, this show is nothing special. I wouldn't even consider it entertaining. Take my advice, and skip this show. It's not worth watching. I can not express how stupid this show is. It's just so horrible
  • Its just a very boring, and meh sitcom. It wasn't funny, or charming. It doesn't help that the acting feels very stale and bad, and I know acting in sitcoms usually isn't the best, but it feels worse than usual. I say avoid this one. The concept of it was good enough. A dad suddenly not having a job so suddenly he has to become a house husband. I don't think that has really been done before, so at least its a new idea. Only thing is, is that it just doesn't have any charm. Why do people like Friends, King of Queens, Seinfield, or Everybody Loves Raymond? Because they were funny and charming. Most of the characters are usually likable in some way, and they're good to have on for reruns or whatever. The problem is, that See Dad Run has none of that. It isn't funny. It isn't charming. It is a very boring sitcom.
  • Just not a believable dad in this role. His performance gives off a psycho vibe, like we only see one side of his schizophrenic personality but the evil madness leaks through anyway. You shudder for his daughters.

The writing on this show is shockingly good. I had expected something that was just thrown together to try to appeal to an audience that would be interested in the novelty of Scott Baio returning to TV. Yes, this is in the classic sitcom format (parents, kids, living room, kitchen, life lessons, etc.), but the characters have gotten better and more integrated with one another, and the clever scripts and Baio's timing are far above other cable standard fare. The inclusion of Baio's character's former role as sitcom star is not as hokey as it might sound. It takes the edge off some of the "life lesson" content, and references to his prior gig make for good comedic fodder.
  • what can you say about Baio that hasn't been said he's a good actor he looks good in the part and can make fun of himself as for the show OK, its good for the whole family so you don't have to worry about your little one watching, and the plot is fine "See Dad Run" reminds me of just a good old fashion sit com it gives you a good laugh and make you feel good as well with out exploiting your feeling Is it good? its good fun loving show that does not put it in you face its not new idea but one that can make you laugh It is, I would say, good enough

David Hobbs has spent the last decade playing a beloved father on one of TV's biggest sitcoms. When his series ends, he transitions into a stay-at-home dad watching over his children, Emily, Janie, and Joe. Meanwhile, his wife, Amy, returns to her television career. Now, David must accustom to tending to his kids' every need. His children worry since he is never around, and barely knows anything about being a parent. David soon realizes how challenging it is to be an actual father
  • In my opinion I like it (mainly because of Ryan Newman, relax I'm 16) the show is kind of like a lot of other sitcoms with a irresponsible dad who can't raise his kids too well (he use to be on a TV show for a decade), a somewhat strict mom, a bratty daughter, a strange son and the youngest daughter who is all ways telling on the older ones, and his weird assistant. But I really do enjoy it and I have a few good laughs here and there but I can really focus on it no matter what, it's another one of my favorite shows now.In my opinion everybody should at least give it a chance instead of just saying "meh" but that's just my opinion. I have to give it a 10 out of 10 cause I really do enjoy the show.
