This is me being kind
As I am neither fan or friend to anyone involved in making this movie, I feel relieved that I am in no obligation to upvote it.
This is a story of a girl that yearns to reconnect with her father - this one uses an old long-lost record to achieve this. She finds an unlikely companion and they hit the road. You can predict how the story ends.
So, realistically, this movie struggles with so many things - story is simple and recycled, pace is slow, acting unsure, directing competent but, at the same time, taking no risks, sound ok-ish...however, put all together, the movie presents better than the sum of its parts. It does have a faint nostalgic cum dreamy feel, its cleverly exploitative when need be and generally affirmative.
It was an easy watch that won't leave a lasting impression - 4/10 (one point deducted because of the blatant upvoting)
