I don't know what's the Prime Directive anymore over at Girlfriends Films (hey Moose -what gives?), but whoever titled this fine new series is out to lunch. There are no dildos or vibrators involved in the lesbian sex vignettes here, title be damned.
Instead, each scene concerns the label's most rewarding situation: an Older Woman/Younger Girl romance that has reached a dramatic impasse. Simply put, the young lady is tired of being treated condescendingly by her "sugarmommy" partner as just a sex toy -she wants more. That gives the usual XXX lesbian scene a bit of an edge -all the more rewarding to Girlfriends fans who have been turned off by the trend toward all-sex content in recent years.
My favorite scene here, due to casting, has Chloe Surreal rebelling from her "kept woman" status provided by her lover Reagan Foxx. Both actresses are terrific in the acting set-up, where the situation of Reagan unwilling to commit and have Chloe move in with her (Foxx is living with her son and the son's girlfriend) instead of just accepting the new home Foxx is installing her in. And their subsequent reconciliation sex scene is passionate and in character.
The other scenes follow the same pattern, and combos like Kendra James (blonde here) with Ava Sinclaire and Skylar Snow with Amber Moore provide a bit of convincing dramatics before the tribbing begins. Hopefully, perhaps retitled, this series will catch on.
