  • So when i read that they will canceled Earth mightiest heroes i was angry, but anger washed away and was replaced by anxiety that they will ruined this show as they did with half of second season (first half was good but since they rushed everything rest of the season was overall awful) and i was right they did it.Every episode is for it self, they have to very little with each other. There isn't any story that will hold your attention and characters have lame background. Each episode as i said is story for it self,so far i don't see any link between episodes.Thats awful if they don't change that soon i will stop watching this. They did nice job with designing characters, world,CG effects are good, voice acting is excellent, combat scenes are good and that's all good points it has, everything else is bad.So my conclusion is 6.

I will say that Avengers EMH was definitely better than this series but I still enjoyed it. The different personalities of all the characters are pretty good, and quite humorous at times. I liked the first 4 seasons but season 5 not so much. The animation was changed in season 5 and not in a good way, looks way to childish.

Spoilers Also, season 5 is basically all Black Panther little of the other Avengers. Should of just given him his own series instead of wasting a whole season on him. The story line of season 5 is underwhelming they make Black Panther a bit too over powering against the other avengers, all of them. It's a bit ridiculous honestly how he's portrayed. Overall I'd still recommend the first 4 seasons!

    Warning: Spoilers
This show should have just been an continuation of EMH, which was such a good show with great plot, great characters and buildup of their storylines (like Ms Marvel and Cap' especially). And exciting fights and villains. Avengers Assemble did give us more backstory on characters like widow and hawkeye, for example and also some new villains (repetitively). in EMH we only got to see a small amount of major villains (like kee/skrull/ultron) in their 2 seasons, this show's writers might as well have just spun a wheel of the same 5 villains to see which one the avengers would face that week. Towards the 4th season they attempted to change things up by temporarily removing the original avengers and ushering in a new fill in group. While interesting at first, this led to a dragged out season of pointless filler episodes, and random episodes outside of the current plot which just created more questions for viewers when they just switched back to what was previously happening. Even animation changes and some of the characters sound different with new actors playing them all of a sudden. This show could still have great even being based off the movies but nothing they did or could've done would've compared to EMH. Again, it should've simply been a continuation of that series.
  • To be honest when I first say the trailer I was not too interested to watch this animation because my favourite is Earth's Mightiest Heroes, however when I started watching I started liking this very much. More or less same characters are there but the storyline are pretty deep and interesting, many marvel villains are present and I liked it alot. You can tell that the former show and this one is not the same. This one is a bit more fast paced but quite enjoyable. All S1 to S5 is a joy ride. I almost watched them binge, my favourite character Hawkeye and Falcon are there too. All in all it's a great fun show. I hope this review hels, you won't be disappointed with this show if you are truly Marvel fan.
  • I really liked this series.

It airs on Disney XD but it's a show that's for kids and adults.

The joys of an animated series are that you can do anything. No having to worry about actors, story lines that can't be converted to movies or characters that are owned by other studios.

There are appearances by The Thing, Spider-Man, and Doctor Doom just to name a few. Having this series also gives us the chance to see more of The Avengers personalities, individually and as part of the team.

I also really liked the addition of Falcon to The Avengers team as somewhat of the trainee Avenger in the beginning but definitely proves himself as the series goes on.

There is an overall season arc with the Avengers versus Red Skull and other villains but there are some standalone episode stories too.

This is an awesome show; one that I could watch again and I will be watching Season 2.

Wonderful show. I waited because all the reviews were so awful to watch this. But when I finally sat down and gave the show a shot i was shocked to find Avengers assemble so enjoyable, and let me tell you I was amazed that people hated the show so much.

If you enjoy the Marvel TV and Cinematic Universe you will enjoys this show. The show dose not take it self to seriously and that's a huge Plus. avengers Assemble take place some time in the future of Earths Mightiest Hero's because flash backs in the show use stock footage of the former un aired episodes as well as references to the past episodes.

A fun time good for all ages, and fallows the heart behind Earth mightiest heroes and other marvel movies.

To the Question Was Earth mightiest hero better? I will say yes because they had more back story and move involvement with things outside of just fighting more story elements which this show lacks but with a 20 min TV show there not a lot of room for that and i remember watching dragon ball Z in the past having to wight 3- 7 episodes for a kamakamahama or a spirit bomb to form and let me tell you that was a waist of time. I really enjoy a the action setting of the show and the lack of down time for the characters.

Hope this helps with people on the edge on watching this show vary good and fun time. -TheQun

    7/10
    Good
I would suggest renting it, or perhaps buying it if the price is right. My final rating for this movie is 7 out of 10, and it deserves it! This movie has gotten me through some dark times. The kind of film that proves that a small story can be much more meaningful than a larger one. That said, the main plot of the film was constantly being interrupted. I thought this was cute and not bad. I thought that there was really good chemistry between the voice actors. It will either surprise or disappoint you, depending on what your expectations are. Still, it's a film BOTH genders can enjoy. Find it today, even if you don't like cartoons.

This show is amazing to me, I know a lot of people won;t agree with me.

This may come as a shock to most people, but i'm 13 years old. I'm really a child at heart!

The show is silly and serious, I see people write reviews on this by just looking at the first episode, but I think in order to do a review on a show you at least have to watch the first season.

I never saw the show before this one, but i'm sure it was just as great!

The show makes me laugh, but it can be serious when it wants to.

There was an episode where Tony had been transformed into a kid again. Red Skull thought it was the right time to take revenge on him. The episode was sad because Tony was scared that he couldn't make things right this time, he even began to cry.

The show is great if you are a child at heart like me.
  • I enjoyed watching the first 3 seasons up until 4 and 5 they just felt repetitive and made to continue the series to make more money. I was also annoyed by the switch of art design in the final season it went from looking like a animated show to a off brand YouTube video about it. Overall I enjoyed my experience watching Avengers Assemble.
  • Why the hell did they do away with Earths Mightiest Heroes for this? I was hoping it was just a name change, but instead got a bland remake. Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes, was great, had character chemistry and interaction, a great line-up of Marvels best and usually got every character spot on (Even on one shot appearances). I looked forward to it each week. Avengers Assemble reminds me more of the Super-Friends than the Avengers. Bad call Mickey. I hope Avengers Assemble improves, it seems like a dumbed down version of the previous series or the film. They had a good thing going with Avengers: EMH and may want to assemble the old team.
  • Yep! I've seen "Avengers: Earth's Mightest Heroes" once. It was great. But for Avengers Assemble was doing just very well. This is the show I really enjoyed. Like other heroes. Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Falcon. Teaming up for the first time. Since that the animation was beautiful as it looks. Like they battle against the Cabal for the first time ever. I found this Avengers Assemble impressive marvelous. But I believe the show can do better. Well, for the moment. I really love that show that was great and it's doing just fine and it was excellent. I fount it very interesting since I've watch most of the episodes I've missed.
  • I walked into this cartoon not expecting much, similar to when marvel launched earths mightiest heroes. I want to say right off the back that I don't hate this show, but I do not love it. This show has good ideas and can be entertaining. The main story arc of season 1 with the Cabal was really really cool. The problem with this show are numerous and I will address my complaints as so.

1: the voice acting is severely lacking. Although no one is "bad" no one feels like they are being directed right. I want to make it clear that all of the voice actors that I know are good, but they are very poorly written and directed. It obvious to me that the series is just trying to bank on the success of the movies for all the wrong reasons and serves as a poor imitation in this regard. Thor's performances as well as hulks really hold the series back. This baffles me as I am familiar with both these actors works and I KNOW THEY ARE BOTH TALENTED AND ACCOMPLISHED VOICE ACTORS. Especially Fred Tedscore who was fantastic as hulk in EMH's.

    2. The show does not address continuity well. It completely glosses over a major plot point from season 1 and this show is full of moments like that.

    3. The show has editorial mandates that detract from the overall narrative. This show is constantly introducing things from as they are announced in the MCU. I wouldn't have a problem with this is it was done with a bit more grace and finesse. sadly all the show seems to care about is mimicking the movies.

    4. Filer. this show has a number of episodes where nothing happens and the episodes can merely be skipped and nothing of value will be missed.

    5. Its not funny but will try to be. I get that the show is aimed at a lower audience but it feels like they aren't trying. the less said the better.

all in all I will say that this show does have its moments, but there's a lot holding it back from being great. Its a million times better then United They Stand but nowhere near as good as Earths Mightiest Heroes.
  • There is no justification for calling this a continuation of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. It isn't. It's a cartoon made after the film. The voices are subpar, especially in comparison to EMH. Most of the character's are absent despite Tony resuming the Avenger's Protocol in the first episode. Falcon becomes a noob when he was a seasoned veteran and fighter in EMH. Black Panther is gone, Ms. Marvel is gone, Wasp is gone, Henry Pym and Scott Lang, the list goes on. They worked as a team and were cohesive in EMH, whereas there's tons of unexplained artificial tension in Avenger's Assembled. Black Widow no longer has a Russian accent. I tried looking up a link or email to tell DisneyXD how unsatisfied I am with this garbage. I couldn't find an email for them. They should just make more seasons of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
  • This is a fun adaptation of the avengers, there are tons of different story lines & other marvel characters who come into play, you can also tell they incorporated some things from the MCU into show which is fun. It's mostly the classic team lineup until you get to the last seasons when they ruin it by bringing in black panther, now please don't get me wrong, I like the character & really enjoyed him in all the MCU movies but for some reason the writers decided to make this version an arrogant, cocky, cold & very unlikeable. He doesn't go more than 5 minutes without having to tell everyone he's a king, he uses this status to do whatever he wants, to boss people around & just to be an overall jerk. They really make all of the Wacanda people like this, every time we see thee characters they are snobby & act like they are better than everyone else - why did the writers do this? The BP in the MCU had heart & a warmth to him even when he had to be strong & stern but this just is an a-hole without the warmth of charm. That being said it's still a fun watch that's worth the time if you're a fan of these characters!
  • After enjoying earths mightiest heroes and the avengers movie this show makes me think there's no mindset to this cartoon series for little kids but I can't lie I do think this show is a step in the right direction for the Disney xd marvel series not the best but it is better then ultimate spider man the voice acting is tolerable at best but it feels like at times it forgets to showcase what makes each avenger useful for there can be some decent episodes but there not that many bad episodes for this series it can be a good show but with what I said it's not a great show but a decent show that I could watch for background noice so yes I do think this is one of those marvel series that can last for a while
  • Warning: Spoilers
Some of the other reviewers need to look at the age limit on the show. It's recommended for age 7+ kids. It is not an adult superhero show and does not pretend to be. Yes, "Avengers: Earth Mightiest Heroes" was a better effort, but it's still fun to watch. Some of the plots and dialog are a bit over the top. But when you think about it, most superhero stuff is over the top. It's certainly okay if you are a fan of the Marvel Universe. Just enjoy and don't worry about it. Voice acting and music are okay, a nice array of villains are brought along, plenty of smashing and mayhem. Some of the other reviewers remarked about the level of damage done in the show?? Obviously you have not read any comic books in a while. There's always a roof coming down!! Like I said, just watch and enjoy!!
  • Some fans of the previous series don't care much for this version of the Avengers but it's still entertaining. I like the sense of humor of this show. An episode where all of the Avengers become Huiks was amusing. The Impossible Man makes a wacky appearance. And doing a version of the Avengers that imitates the cinematic universe is not entirely unwelcome. I think the voice acting and animation are also better than the negative reviews would have you believe. I also like the addition of the Falcon to the team. I remember him from the Captain America comics I collected as a kid and it's good to see him trying to adapt to the dynamics of a team that is new to him. And honestly, I'm glad they got rid of that awful theme song from EMH. I suspect that fans of EMH would not have many complaints if the show stuck to the character designs of that series. In the end, these characters are fun to watch in different situations and I can tell that the creators knew that they couldn't do the exact same thing again.
  • Love the story line , dialog is awesome , on my 4th time around on the series .
  • The animation is good while the dialogue seem pretty off when the character interact each other. Overall, each season can solve them all with a simple theme: Teamwork.
  • This cartoon is inferior in every way to earth's mightiest heroes. The voice acting, the dialogue, the plot and even the character designs are horrible compared to EMH. Black widow looks terrible compared to the EMH version. I remember looking forward to each episode, because the characters were different from each other. They had personality. Here, they all seem to talk and act the same. What was the point of getting rid of such a good EMH team? They should have just continued with EMH, instead we get this crappy movie continuation instead of the excellent comic book stories of EMH (yes I know they were modified but it was amazing). I don't mind the movie. They had to do stuff in a 2 hour window but the cartoons can hold true to the amazing marvel legacy from the comics. No need to dumb it down to the movie level. I was so looking forward to this after EMH and it was an utter disappointment.
  • Marvel's Avengers Assemble is great! The story writing is outstanding and i find myself every time thinking "there is no way they are getting out of this one" yet they almost always succeed. The show stays loyal to the comics while still keeping it new and refreshing with a few twists and surprises. Old fans of Marvel will have a strong appreciation for this show. The voice acting is superb as well are the visuals. This show has shown me that no matter how old you are (i'm 25 years old), you can still have a great time watching cartoons. This is hands down my favorite show! This series will go down as being a classic in the years to come.
  • Every episode features the exact same cast, doing the exact same thing, saying and acting all the same, fighting another villain of the week whose only real power is strength.

Were eight episodes in and its all been fight after fight with someone super strong. Yes, they throw in slight variations like heat vision, alien army, molecule changing (whatever that was). But at the end of it, its just another stupid fight with another stupid strong guy.

Where is the charm and wit that EMH had? Where is the villain whose power was his brain and not his brawn? Stop the endless destruction of the city as it gets very boring since there are no consequences for their actions. They destroy buildings and cars killing thousands with no consequence or remorse. Whats the point of stopping a bad guy if the heroes do more damage than they do?

There is zero plot. A villain just turns up and they fight him. One can forgive all the other problems if they just gave the audience a reason to care about the characters or the reason for why they are fighting. Connecting with the audience is storytelling 101.

They switch between screen ratios constantly during the fight. Its so annoying. Stop changing widescreen formats constantly during the same episode - it looks stupid and is very distracting.

Ill continue to watch as an Avengers fan, but please give us a story and a reason for me to want to watch.
  • Warning: Spoilers
**possible spoilers, but I will try not to.

Being a long, LOOOONG time Wonder Woman fan (until the movie came out), I was a DC fan. Then Marvel decided to put all super hero movies to shame (except for Christopher Reeves Superman, which will be forever the best Superman to me) and create The X-Men movies.

After seeing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, I switched sides. Since then, Marvel has continued to kick DC's sorry rear, even in the animation department.

The Avengers' series of animation has been just like their movies, top notch. With the RIGHT people playing the RIGHT parts (unlike DC), even with the animated series casting for voices. Perfection.

This latest Avengers animated series keeps up with the high rated standing and top-notch casting and writing of the Marvel universe.

I think probably my two favorite episodes are Dark Avengers and One Little Thing. Two episodes that could easily be fitted to the big screen with the current cast of "real life" Avengers. And I would have to say, I would definitely pay any price to see THESE on the big screen, portrayed by the current "live" cast.

Marvel is by far, the best of the best when it comes to what they do. And unlike DC, Marvel obviously listens to its fans and critics alike, in order to find the right people for the right parts, the right voice for the right character, and the write storytellers for the ideas they have to put on screen....whether it be the big screen or the small one.

Some of DC's animation cannot be touched, not even by Marvel.......but on the whole, Marvels animation outranks DC's by far, on a wider scale. And Avengers Assemble is probably the best I've seen from either comic universe.
  • Warning: Spoilers
When this series first aired, I was unsure how I felt about this new show that followed A:EMH, but not quite like it. The animation was off, the plot lines were simple, and there were hardly any other heroes in the universe.

But now, we have more heroes coming into the show. We have Ant-Man now, we saw Bruce Banner who I'd like to see more of because he is as much a hero as Hulk, Songbird and the rest of the Thunderbolts, and the Winter Soldier. And we're supposed to be seeing Black Panther, Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, and the Inhumans!

I think there is only a few problems with this series. For one, even though the heroes are expanding in the universe, the Avengers team is almost the same plus Ant-Man. I hope when Ms. Marvel and Black Panther are introduced, they are put on the roster and we see them in the show with the other Avengers like A:EMH.

Another problem is the story lines are still simple. I would like to see more interactions and problems for the individual avengers, such as having Black Widow and Captain America slowly develop a romance or her and Bruce Banner if you're sticking towards the movies still. Though, I personally prefer Captain America and Black Widow being together. The Avengers should also have regular human problems, such as Tony trying to win over Board members for an award of some sort or have Thor and Hawkeye develop friendships outside of the Avengers such as Jake Olsen (in Thor comics) and Lucky (Hawkeye's dog in his comics). This also means a change of scenery, which will be welcome in this series.

Along with that, we should see the Avengers in more regular clothes than their costumes and battle suits. We've got a hint of that in S3, but it'd be awesome if we could get more of it.

But besides this, the series is getting so much better and is doing so great! These changes will only make the series better!
  • Warning: Spoilers
Avengers Assemble is an all new show from the Marvel producers of Planet Hulk, Ultimate SpiderMan, Earths Mightiest Heroes and The SuperHero Squad.

Reason to like this version of the Avengers:

The returns classic villains such as Doctor Doom and The Red Skull.

The animation moves away from the computerized look and the over sexual motion comic drawing styles to a comic book style that gently mixes the classic cartoon look with a new sharp lined HD look. Aspiring artist will find these heroes easy to draw.

Good mix of what we know and what we don't need to know. This time around marvel skips the intros and puts the back story in the story and we find out what we need when we need to know it. This makes each episode stands on its own and letting your urge to see more hulk smash bring you back for more.

These avengers' do what they were assembled for. These Avengers work as a team.

In summary these new Avengers are fun and befitting the 11am Sunday viewing slot. There is an obvious effort by Marvel to create character chemistry and not characters with chemistry and in my opinion it works. Avengers Assemble is Unapologetic Sci-Fi Fun.
