Trust "award-winning" hack Robby D. to outdo himself in awfulness: just after I'd watched his terribly obscure & terribly terrible 2001 pantomime Vivid release "Delirium", I caught up with this 2012 stinker ground out to keep Digital Playground talent at work and off the streets.
Opening shot is of the "Immoral Proposal" mansion, setting for the picture and ill-used to boot. No writing credit this time, as Robby fails to amuse with a tale of a half-hearted con lady played by DP's beautiful star Kayden Kross, in league with disgusting James Deen to bilk some folks out of money as per the "con" title. Proving conclusively how phony those industry awards are, the duo's sex scene on the distinctive spiral staircase of the mansion was nominate for "best boy/girl scene" kudos by AVN that year, and it's a thoroughly mediocre XXX scene notable only for KK's exaggerated screeches of ecstasy, trying to out Weigel Ms. Teri.
Why our cast of good guys are roommates living at the mansion, a most unlikely possibility, is left hanging. The scam has Erik Everhard made to think he ran over Kayden with his car, when she's merely staged it as he went "thunk!" in reverse. She feigns amnesia after Erik and roomie Manuel Ferrara take the unconscious girl to safety in the mansion, and the stupid script makes a big deal of fake-amnesia as if that were a funny concept in and of itself.
Besides the way-overacting-bad-guy Deen, the rest of the cast seems disinterested in the cutesy excuse for made-up dialog and sit-com slapstick, all an excuse for shoe-horning into the running time a requisite 5 sex scenes. As star, Kross gets two of them, humping Deen and Ferrara in succession, a poor structure for those fans like me who still insist on watching a feature in toto, rather than merely suffering through a hardcore vignette and be done with it. Another contract girl Riley Steele has so little to do she seems to be an afterthought in the cast, merely humping Erik in the final sex scene before a stupid coda that ties up the plot threads. Despite the title, Robby does little to nothing to develop the "con" premise.
Two obscure actresses are tossed in for sex filler, sultry jail-bait brunette Giselle Leone and big-fake-tits blonde Nikki Delano. Neither one has been cast in a significant role, typically mired in gonzo crap.
