Three parents try to stop their daughters from losing their virginity on prom night.
This film was produced by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, the creators of "Superbad." "Superbad" is a film about three high-school friends who try to have sex before graduation. A very similar story to "Blockers," except "Superbad" features male protagonists rather than female.
In times of crisis, parents are known to have super-human strength.
In the beginning scene, first day of school, tulips are blooming and tulips bloom in the spring, not in the fall.
There is a very brief scene in the closing credits.
In Singapore, the film was originally passed with an R21 classification due to the film's sexual content and nudity. However the distributors were unsatisfied with this rating and opted to re-edit the film in order to obtain the more commercially lucrative M18 rating; the aforementioned cut removes a brief, close-up depiction of a hand squeezing a man's scrotum, as part of a couple's act of foreplay.
