  • Maggie's Back must be hurting from carrying this show on her back. She is the funniest on the show and the only reason to watch the show although it's very funny.

I remember watching this back in 2014 and it just stopped airing and got canceled way too soon.

The theme song is very cringy I skip the intro.

The main character Stephanie isn't that bad of a character but she has the same main character feel.as every other woman

Gabby is just your regular teenager who is embarrassed and hated everyone.

Aaron is the youngest but he's just there to be there honestly.

James is the other brother who is very annoying

And the dad is the worst character in the series and I'm only on season 2.
  • All i can say about this show is that it is very funny.ive never laughed out loud all through any sitcom episode but this show broke, shattered and crystalized my ribs.i absolutely love the concept of this show.what an amazing show.they could've at least given us a final season run for that satisfying finale conclusion.
  • Tia Lowry plays a pretty young woman who gets swept away into marrying an older man and unexpectedly gets not only a husband but three stepchildren, each with their own issues. It's a simple, feel-good story about family values with occasional silly tantrums and hillarious quips many of which are provided by her mother Maggie and their new step-grandma. It's like those predictble rom-coms that are you stick with though they're all alike each other. There are however two issues here- the kids' biological mother is prevented from taking them for a year with her to Africa, to spend real quality time with them, though she's legally entitled to it. We're made to root for Stephanie (Lowry) to keep them under her warm wing, and the kids' mother is nothing but a footnote in the story, which isn't really in line with the values the show tries to reflect. The other problem is the character of Maggie, who embodies the stereotype of the angry black woman to the bone, and visibly enjoys it, though it bursts with tacky stereotypes at best, and insulting at worst.
  • I really love this show and even taped each episode so I can watch them over again! The boys are very funny and Sheryl Lee is too! I think Tia is great but the daughter could use funnier lines written for her. There should also be a little less drinking on the show because Tia and Sheryl are funny without the drinking. Would also like to see it at an earlier time slot. I really like the episodes where Tia attends the boys schools (bullying little girl and school dance). I think there should be more episodes like that and more episodes with the Dad included (episodes at his work place). I would like to see cast members from Sister Sister make guest appearances on the show. I think it would be really funny! (Tim Reid, Jackee)
  • Warning: Spoilers
I love, love, love this show. I think it so wonderful to see Tia in the polar opposite role being a parent to some rambunctious kids and having to discipline when things get out of hand, although I think it would be much better if the producers would build a story line and have Tamera guest star in a few episodes, building Stephanie's (Mowry-Hardrict) character a bit. It is such a great show that we really need in our homes right now, with all the problems that teenagers face and ultimately the parents will face them to. The one person in the show that I really can't stand is the person who plays her mom, sooo annoying.
