The rating i give this is only because of what it is. It is not a movie as such but more of a visual concept for the album wretched and divine from the band black veil brides. Whatever you think of the band is irrelevant, if you hate them then you shouldn't watch this but if you do then heres the review.

I would compare legion of the black to the Disney film fantasia, it is visually stunning but consists only of music accompaniment to tell a story, very little dialogue is involved. Essentially the story is based of a teenage girl who likes the band black veil brides. She lives in a fantasy world viewing people around her to be oppressors and her and other fans to be rebels. for this her parents commit her to an asylum where she sinks into a vision of a war between f.e.a.r and the wild ones, it combines music videos for songs on bvb's upcoming album to tell the story of this world and combine it to brief visions of the girl in reality such as being taken into the hospital.

where this film really benefits however is in just how much it fits into its 45 minute run time. it manages to tell in interesting story a lot of black veil brides fans can relate to as well as juggling this with a fantasy tale of warriors.

As i have stated this film is only going to appease black veil brides fans who will find plenty here to enjoy. If you enjoy the bands music you owe it to yourself to see this film.

I've seen this so many times, and it never gets old.

I gave it the best review I could because Black Veil Brides is my favorite band, and the movie is one of my favorites. I cannot wait to buy it in July! (This is only for the United States) Though, the album that's based on the movie is a concept record so I see where the first reviewer of the movie is coming from with the whole "concept movie" thing. Andy, CC, Ashley, Jake, & Jinxx did an amazing job as their roles; as they've been assigned those roles for a couple years now. Black Veil Brides fans who have not seen the movie yet, but have heard the album, you will be blown away. This movie is the best and I can't wait for what Black Veil Brides is coming out with next!

black veil brides set's a new standard of excellence

an amazing movie told without a single word spoken by the actors and yet manages to portray on an emotional level most films miss, thanks to the fact that the film is narrated entirely by the BLACK VEIL BRIDES using music for their latest and greatest WRETCHED AND DIVINE album.

the storyline itself is a simple premise of a girl trying to overcome the fear and tribulations forced on her by her parents after they have her placed in an asylum due to their belief her being different is bad after discovering the contents of the notebook she carries. whilst in the asylum she withdraws into the world she created in her notebook. the story unfolds from there magnificently due to the music and the way it tells the story.

the film is a must see for all BVB fans and i highly recommend it to all non-fans as well just for the fact it is a very well made movie.

Worse than bad

I was forced to sit through this horrible effort while I was babysitting my 10 year old niece. The acting was laughable, the plot was predictable, the soundtrack was painful and the story seemed to have been written by a 12 year old girl. Nothing good can be said about this terrible movie. The best part was when I snapped the DVD in half and threw it in the trash.

A True Masterpiece

When I first heard that Black Veil Brides were releasing a companion film along with their new album, I was absolutely amazed. The album alone is most definitely the best music album in rock history. If this wasn't amazing enough, I found out that the BVB album was out on my Birthday, I was so excited- I got it first thing as one of my presents, and since then,this year has turned out to be pretty awesome in my opinion. Black Veil Brides are one of those rare bands that can translate feelings and real life situations into amazing songs, that tell a clear message throughout the whole song. That is why I will forever be a proud member of the BVB Army, and I will always be deeply grateful for how inspirational and influential BVB are. There isn't a bad thing about this album, and that to, is quite rare in any album. The film is just as amazing too. I won't spoil anything for those who haven't watched it yet. I will just say this: You will love it. As Kerrang! Magazine stated in their review; 'This could-and should-be an opinion changer.'

Amazing. cannot be better

Legion of the Black is an excellent movie, I must say. I watch it all the time and this movie is never going to get old. the way I expected it was a movie-like thing, but as I am going to describe it is like one big, amazing music video. the thing that had scared my sibling was at the end. but then again it s still a good movie. well done movie and I think that everybody can enjoy it. well done to Black Veil brides. Also for a first time actor, Alicia Vigil was very good. They deserve to have no hate on this movie. amazing. everybody should watch if they can. these. are. extra. so. it. will. be .long enough. to . submit. ha ha.

Here's the thing: This movie is not great. It's not even that good. But I'll still watch it anytime I remember it exists. The plot is hard to follow and having to see Ashley's face after his awful behavior has come out is not my favorite thing in the world, but I'll still sing along to every song and laugh at what middle-school me thought was incredibly deep and thought-provoking acting. I love this movie all the same. I love the cinematography and I love explaining to my friends how much they have to see this garbage movie. I'd recommend this to anyone who thinks they've gotten over/out of their emo phase because this movie will drag you right back.
