  • #ErporKi #sanjuzzreviews #Shikarpur #Roktokorobi #ZEE5 #ZEE5Original A brilliant psychologist Satyaki ( Bikram Chatterjee) who has lost confidence after a patient of his commits suicide, is invited to his cousins home in the countryside by his doting sister-in-law Ranja ( Raima Sen) to recoup. The house, however is full of secrets and people start dying in a suspicious manner soon after Satyaki's arrival. It is then up to our protagonist who is dealing with his own demons and ostracised by people to get to the bottom of things and solve the mystery.

A dark psychological thriller with a suprise ending. Raima Sen, Bikram Chatterjee have given brilliant performances. Unmissable!!!

The focus is on how the protagonist deciphers disjointed pieces of the jigsaw puzzle and finally provides a logical conclusion to the story.

    Going with 4.5/5

    Two more reviews coming soon-#swetkali & #Seven ... Watch out !! 🙂

This series has a very interesting plot and the central characters are wonderful. Its like a game of chess, where the opponent is like an unseen God, striking before we are prepared. The story is also a psychological thriller and shows the capacity of a woman's manipulation. Its also unravels a great mystery and dark secrets, and is unafraid to go beyond our imagination when it comes to sexual abuse. Although this show has no nudity, everything is implied and therefore, horrifying. In a way its a story about a woman's innate motherly instinct, and her calliber. Its about how a woman can hold a house and destroy it too, when it comes to saving her child.

Coming to the acting, it boasts a lot of great actors, but the lead actors of Satyaki and Ranja Boudi, aka Raima Sen, have nailed it. Raima Sen is effortless, her charisma draws the viewer in. Its simply impossible to take your eyes off of her. Her character is definetely one of the best written femme-fatale's of all time. She isn't the villainess, she is rather the Anti Hero- the "Mother", the famed Goddess of Bengali culture who protects her children from every harm. On that path she kills the demons and rids the soil from evil. This complex "mother" could only be understood if you have been a Devi-bhakt.

I enjoyed the show quite as much as I did watching films like Shutter Island, or A Tale of Two Sisters. I adore psychological thrillers and this one from India, my own country, in my very own mother tongue, is an absolute delight. This one is a must watch.
  • Excellent story written by Sahana. 10/10 for her. Except the overacting of Vikram Chatterjee (Satyaki), all the cast played superbly. Any actor could have done better than him. Don't know why he miserably failed in acting as a patient. The story is captivating through out all the episodes. Each end of the episode makes you to watch the next, which is the definition of a perfect webseries. It is pleasant to watch that the director did not forcefully drag it to a second season, which could kill the story. The thrill is very dark and binds the viewers till the end. Zee5 is hunting for great stories. Happy Hunting Zee5.
