Woot woot! My pick to win Best Director at the Oscars took home the Feature Film trophy at the recently concluded Directors Guild of America awards. And it's truly deserving! Cuaron defied gravity, yes pun intended, to create "Gravity," a movie grounded in sci-fi realism that many directors before him (including James Cameron) were saying that it would be hard to do. But Cuaron did it, and did it extremely well! So hats off to "Gravity" and Cuaron's direction!

Updated: Gravity does not seem to be falling on the awards circuit. Alfonso Cuarón walked away with the top honor at the Directors Guild of America Awards Saturday night in Los Angeles, beating out Martin Scorsese, David O. Russell, Paul Greengrass, and Steve McQueen.
“This is truly an honor and I am humbled by it,” Cuarón said to the audience of his peers after last year’s winner Ben Affleck presented him with the award. But Gravity was not the work of just one mind, and no one knows that more keenly than Cuarón. “Directing is about the work of your collaborators,...

The red carpet at the 2013 Grammy Awards was full of daring and interesting looks, but one trend rose to the top! From Taylor Swift to Alicia Keys, Kelly Osbourne to Kelly Rowland, one thing was clear: cutouts were the ‘It’ trend on Feb. 10!
The 55th Annual Grammy Awards may have issued a wardrobe advisory in the days leading up to the big night at the Staples Center in L.A., but the women of the music industry certainly weren’t going to let that stand in their way on Feb. 10, a fact made perfectly clear by the sexy cutout dresses worn by the likes of Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, and Kelly Rowland!
Taylor, 23, rocked a sexy white J. Mendel gown accented with silver cutouts baring her back. She looked gorgeous and all grown-up in the dress, but she was just one of many singing superstars who participated in the cutout trend during the evening!

The 55th Annual Grammy Awards were held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles Sunday night, where artists from all over the globe united in the spirit of music to honor their own. As expected, there were scores of live performances and when all was said and done, the 3 1/2 hour live ceremony provided a well-balanced representation of all musical genres. Opening the show was superstar Taylor Swift, who plucked a scene straight out of Alice in Wonderland for the song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back together." Following Swift's performance, host LL Cool J welcomed everyone to "music's biggest night" and took a moment to explain why hosting the show meant so much to him. "We each experienced a Grammy moment when we were inspired," he said. Inspired moments are indeed what make up the Grammy's, so we've made a list of our own. Adele nabs Best Pop Vocal Performance:...

So, that was...long. The 55th Annual Grammy Awards was its usual jam-packed self, with host LL Cool J deftly shepherding the three and a half-hour broadcast from concert mode to ceremony and back again while both fresh (Frank Ocean, Gotye, fun.!) and familiar (Adele, Elton John, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Rihanna again!) folks took to the stage to accept their accolades or rock the house. Or, sometimes, do both. But even though we didn't really know what to expect in the first place, there were plenty of surprises—and no one seemed more surprised by who won Grammys this year than the people who actually won them. Here's what popped: 1. Mum's the Word: Congrats to British...

In this day and age, it's not good enough to simply air an awards show on TV -- you've got to have a whole multi-screen exprience, as well.
The 55th Annual Grammy Awards will be airing live on CBS at 8 p.m. Est, but while you're watching that, you can also use CBS.com to heighten your viewing party.
The Grammy Awards Multi-Screen Experience will complement the telecast, featuring additional red carpet coverage, backstage interviews, and Grammy winner photo sessions with the official Grammy photographer Danny Clinch. James Wolk has joined the cast of The Crazy Ones, the David E. Kelley-written comedy about father-daughter advertising agency starring Robin Williams. I'm sorry James Wolk fans. Maybe David E. Kelley is past his self-parody stage?
Deadline reports that Miranda Otto has joined the cast of Rake, the Fox drama pilot that also stars Greg Kinnear as a "frustratingly charming" criminal defense lawyer. You know what this means, we'll be watching looking for the chance to yell "She is no man!" at the TV.
Fox's comedy pilot about a group of New York detectives has just added Stephanie Beatriz, according to The Hollywood Reporter. You'll probably recognize Beatirz for her recent Modern Family role (where she played Gloria's sister). The pilot also stars Andy Samberg and comes from Parks & Recreation's producers. This just keeps sounding better.
