In a surprising and heartwarming move, Blizzard Entertainment has announced the return of the beloved Pink Mercy skin in Overwatch 2, along with the introduction of a new Rose Gold Mercy Bundle. This decision has not only brought joy to the game’s dedicated fan base but has also inadvertently solved a long-standing issue that has plagued the community for years: the account/skin-trading black market.
The Pink Mercy skin, originally released way back in 2018 as part of a collaboration with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (Bcrf), was a limited-time offering that helped raise an impressive $12.7 million for the charity. However, its limited availability also gave rise to a thriving black market, where accounts with the rare skin were sold for hundreds, sometimes even thousands of dollars.

The first will be a solo album, Insurrection, that Vega recorded in the late Nineties, and its latest single, “Cyanide Soul,” sounds as unsettling as Suicide’s Seventies recordings. It’s just as eerie as “Mercy,” the first track to be released from Insurrection,...

Purveyors of their own distinctive, genre-blurring sound “Thrash Grass”, The Native Howl has released their gritty new single and official music video for “Mercy” featuring Lzzy Hale of Halestorm (via Sumerian Records). With foreboding, foot-stomping rhythm, and the band’s raw intensity paired with Lzzy’s inimitable vocals, “Mercy” is bound to rattle listeners down to the bone. When asked about today’s release, the band shared:
“‘Mercy’ was written as our original Thrash Grass anthem, and to have our vocal hero Lzzy Hale singing on it is nothing short of a dream come true!
‘Mercy’ subtly tells the story of infamous Boston gangster Whitey Bulger, and the dichotomy of dark and light between him and his disgraced politician brother William. While pulling from additional themes of organized religion and corruption, the music bed’s growth in intensity throughout attempts to paint the process of all evil and wrong-doing slowly being brought to light.

Hot off the heels of ‘Dune: Part Two’ success, Ferguson is set to team up with Chris Pratt in a new thriller titled ‘Mercy.’ This Amazon MGM Studios production promises to be a gripping sci-fi tale set in a future where crime rates have skyrocketed.
In ‘Mercy,’ Pratt plays a detective caught up in a whirlwind of accusations over a violent crime. The challenge? He must clear his name. The storyline teases a suspense-filled journey, something we’re all looking forward to. Directed by Timur Bekmambetov, known for the 2016 remake of ‘Ben-Hur,’ and penned by Marco van Belle, the project has a mixed team behind it (‘Ben-Hur’ was pretty bad). Still, with Charles Roven, a name recently nominated for an Oscar for ‘Oppenheimer,’ leading the production, expectations are high.

The number of feature films receiving tax credits to shoot in California are on the rise, with some productions spending big bucks to nab major incentives along the way.
Led by The Mandalorian & Grogu, five studio projects were selected to participate in California’s Film and TV tax credit program, the state’s film office announced on Monday. The Lucasfilm title will get $21.8 million in tax credits, becoming just the fifth movie in the history of the program to get at least $20 million. Three of those films were selected in the past two years and were chosen in consecutive quarters.
Disney was the biggest beneficiary in this round of incentives, with titles from the entertainment giant conditionally receiving $28.1 million to shoot in the state. Amazon Studios will also get $14.4 million for a pair of projects, including the Ben Affleck-led The Accountant 2. Absent from the list was Netflix and Warner Bros.,...

The upcoming Lucasfilm theatrical release “The Mandalorian & Grogu” is one of 15 films to secure an estimated $61 million in 2024 production tax incentives through California’s Film and Television Tax Credit Program.
The California Film Commission touted Disney’s “Mandalorian & Grogu” as the biggest-budget movie to ever qualify for state’s tax program, which distributes $330 million annually in state tax credits to TV and film productions. The 15 films in total — a mix of independent and major studio productions — are projected to inject nearly $408 million in production spending into the state’s economy. “Mandalorian” alone is expected to generate $166 million in spending in the state. The Cfc estimates the production activity across the 15 films will generate jobs for an estimated 2,252 crew members, 598 cast members and 16,800 background performers poised to work across a combined 579 filming days.
Other titles securing incentive commitments include Amazon MGM Studios’ “The Accountant 2” starring Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal; Chris Pratt-starrer “Mercy,...

The Star Wars franchise is coming to shoot a film entirely in California for the first time with The Mandalorian & Grogu movie, and the Golden State is paying out its weight in tax incentive gold to have the bounty hunter saga made within state lines.
To be specific, that is a total tonnage of $21,755,000 in conditional tax credits for the Jon Favreaudirected film. With a new Fantastic Four, Gladiator 2 and a new season of The Last of Us on his dance card, it is unclear right now if SAG Award winner Pedro Pascal will be resuming his role of Din Djarin and teaming back up with the charming Baby Yoda for the Mandalorian movie.
What is known is that $21,755,000 in tax credits is one of the biggest allocations in the California Film Commission run program’s history.

Apart from the fact that the movie is the newest addition to Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, Dakota Johnson being in the lead role also attracted a fair amount of attention.
Although the movie is not performing too well on the critical and commercial front, the press tour for the movie has fans pretty hooked. The promotional interviews for the film are as chaotic as they can be, and fans are all here for it. These Upcoming Chris Pratt Movies & Shows Confirm The Big Way He's Replaced Jurassic World & The MCU

Chris Pratt's recent work in streaming has showcased his versatility as an actor, moving away from his child-friendly roles. The success of The Tomorrow War and The Terminal List on Amazon Prime highlights Pratt's ability to excel in gritty action thrillers. Shifting to streaming projects is a smart move for Pratt, allowing him to diversify his reach and avoid overexposure in big franchise films.
Although Chris Pratt is one of Hollywood's biggest stars, he's found just as much success in recent history with his prolific work in streaming. While the upcoming sci-fi thriller, Mercy, is still in development, it looks like Pratt will continue his successful run with Amazon Prime. Exclusive: In a lucrative pact, Amazon MGM Studios has landed U.S. theatrical rights to Levon’s Trade, with Prime Video taking streaming rights in a slew of major international territories, we can reveal.
As we told you last year, the film helmed by David Ayer (Suicide Squad) will star Jason Statham (Fast & Furious franchise) and hail from producers Black Bear and BlockFilm. The screenplay was adapted by Sylvester Stallone (Creed), with revisions by Ayer, and is based on prolific comic author Chuck Dixon’s first novel in the “Levon” series.
Amazon MGM has signed a deal for a wide theatrical release in the U.S. Outside of the Prime Video international territories (where the film conceivably might go online only), Black Bear has sold Levon’s Trade independently to theatrical distributors in multiple overseas markets.

This project comes to Amazon MGM Studios from Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe Award-winning producer Charles Roven (“American Hustle”), who received a second Academy Award nomination for Best Picture most recently on “Oppenheimer.” Roven will produce Mercy with Atlas Entertainment SVP Robert Amidon as part of the producing team alongside Bekmambetov’s Bezelevs and film producer Majd Nassif.
The film is targeting a spring start-of-production. Set in the near future when capital crime has increased, “Mercy” follows a detective (Pratt) who is accused of a violent crime and forced to prove his innocence.
Amazon MGM Studios will release Mercy in theaters worldwide.

Deadline reports that Chris Pratt is set to star in Mercy, a sci-fi movie package acquired by Amazon MGM Studios which will be directed by Timur Bekmambetov.
Pratt has worked with Amazon on several projects, including The Tomorrow War and The Terminal List, but Mercy will actually serve as a reunion between himself and Bekmambetov. You may have forgotten, as I did, that Pratt made an appearance in Wanted all the way back in 2008 where he found himself getting smashed in the face with a keyboard wielded by James McAvoy.
So, what’s Mercy all about? The movie is “set in the near future when capital crime has increased” and follows “a detective (Pratt] who is accused of a violent crime and forced to prove his innocence.” The script has been penned by Marco Van Belle (Arthur & Merlin) and produced by Charles Roven (Oppenheimer), with production expected to kick off this spring.

Exclusive: Amazon MGM Studios has just landed a big sci-fi film package it is setting a global theatrical release for in Mercy, starring Chris Pratt, directed by Timur Bekmambetov and produced by Oscar-nominated producer Charles Roven. I understand the deal closed in the past week with a spring start of production planned.
The project puts Pratt back in business with Amazon, which acquired his Skydance movie The Tomorrow War from Paramount and turned into a big Prime Video hit during the pandemic. He also has the series The Terminal List on Prime. The movie also reps a reunion for Pratt and Bekmambetov, who both worked on the latter’s 2008 Hollywood directorial debut Wanted, a $342 million-grossing, Oscar-nominated blockbuster based on Mark Millar’s comic book.

French-Iranian director Emily Atef’s Mercy received €450,000, the biggest slice of funding
Six projects by women filmmakers including Emily Atef, Hafsia Herzi and Lucile Hadzhihalović have received support from the German-French Funding Commission’s Minitraité co-production fund.
The largest single amount of production funding - €450,000 - was awarded to French-Iranian director Emily Atef’s English-language Mercy, an adaptation of Lara Santoro’s eponymous novel. Set in 1997, it is the story of a friendship between a US correspondent in Kenya and a local woman from the slums joining forces to combat the AIDS crisis in the country.
