Retrospect

Veryyyyyy interesting.....the artistry and surprise twists and turns keeps you entertained while wanting to see how it all ends. Makes you wish there was more to know about what people go through to take such drastic measures.... The after effects of momentary emotions truly cary on to loved ones. There is always hope . Really wished I could have seen a glimmer of that, but This is what makes it captivating .... Life is complex, and the story doesn't shy away from the deep despair, regret but after all is that not our soul cries after no turning back - and in Retrospect? Loved it would love more shorts like this!!! Maybe a cool happy romance from the film Maker!

First- Parents, there are adult situations but no nudity, gore, or violence. Even though it says ghost story and demonic entities in the discreption, you won't get a lot of the extreme stuff that might make you hesitant to renting. Second-Every work of art should be judged based on the artist's intent and as a result I give this movie a top rating of five stars out of five stars. It's an independent production that knows its audience. The story was pretty good and there's a lot of emotional and dramatic performances that you wouldn't expect from this type of film. It was definitely written with character depth in mind. The high point for me was the cinematography, well shot, well lit, and extra detail focused on color.

Beautifully shot and well acted, this supernatural drama is a surreal and trippy journey dealing with self-image, the meaning of life, philosophy, and perhaps even mental illness. There are some adult situations but nothing that would offend its audience. I feel like a lot of it is open to interpretation, which is cool. The main cast performance, especially that of the girlfriend, the brother, and the main character are truly great. I really enjoyed the dynamic of the relationships between these 3 characters. This is quite an emotional piece and they pull it off beautifully. The film does have a powerful message, which is something that lots of main stream films are missing these days, and it gives a lot of food for thought. If you like philosophy and very deep, thoughtful and artistic films this definitely worth a watch.

This was a great independent film. Sometimes not knowing the cast helps you understand the characters and what is going on within the film. The lead girl was fantastic, I'm surprised she's not in more mainstream films. Perhaps this will lead to doors opening for her. I'm also looking forward to the directors next film. For a low budget, they managed to make a powerful drama with a great message about mental health. Some stories need to be told, and this was one of them.the last act really picked up momentum and the ending was really impactful. I'm glad I found this on prime video and I recommend it to any fan of suspense dramas.

I came across this while browsing Tubi, and the premise seemed intriguing. Douglas, a young man takes his life following a bad breakup, then finds himself in a dark room lit only by a single candle, exposing a chair and mirror. I believe this to be a sort of "in-between realm", or perhaps a purgatory. The film leaves much to interpretation, which i like as opposed to spoon feeding the audience everything.

After a powerful opening sequence, the film slows a little to end the first act, then picks up steam in the second and culminating to a dramatic climax.

The ending really stuck with me, left me really thinking. A pretty decent indy drama with just enough of suspense to keep my interest.
